Very nice item & review to boot, but I do agree with most of the complaints about the cardboard accessories. For such a hefty price tag Hasbro should have molded those items in a low grade plastic for more durability. I will say the detail & play features are really top notch & the size seems to be a return to the larger play sets from 70’s & 80’s I grew up on.
I would buy this if the price tag were around $70, like the Star Wars BMF Hasbro does deserve some praise for even attempting to bring us items like this… |

First off, thank you for the really great review, pictures and video.
I still can't see what people are excited about though. I will say it's better than the MCC. But the MCC is the worst of the vintage large scale sets IMO. The Terror Drome, Flagg, Headquarter and even the General totally put both the MCC and the new HQ to shame.

I purposely omitted placing the handrails on mine. It gives it a "different" look.
It's a good set. Perfect for playing with the kids! Honestly, another reason I'm buying this is to show support for large play sets. On a different note -- the cardboard accessories are soooo "doll-house" / "paper doll" -ish. Boooo for that. So much room for improvement but it's a good direction I think they're headed. |

ok im thinking that the mcc is way better for a couple of reasons, first it seems bigger...second is that it seems easier to play with, the new one is all open and just doesnt seem to have much ground to put the guys in, and doesnt seem as more dependable ass the mcc, the mcc looks very strong and big and would seem to go through anything, as though the new one seems faster, but were does speed have it all? Im questing for a mcc ^^

Is it worth the 100 bucks? I'm stuck between getting this or Devastator.

Nice review. I picked up one when it was first released. I have enjoyed this item.
