Dollar tree is known for carrying everything for a dollar.
Including toys. knock off toys... I'd seen this set many times now, for years in fact... today, I felt bored...so I figured why not buy the damned thing and make a fun little review. It is literally only a dollar. So above is how the figure accessories come packaged. Simple, and to the point. Here is what we get in total. It seems to be a kind of crowd control set. Not bad. The figure is garbage. So, I'll be focusing on the accessories. Its all made of surprisingly sturdy plastic. First up, is a megaphone. Than we have a riot shield. All the pieces are molded in grey/silver plastics. The megaphone is 2 pieces connected by a peg/hole. The shield is one piece. The large gun would be nice in any diorama setting. Just needs some bullets. Luckily, there IS a slot to insert your own. I'm sure you all have accumulated MANY over the years. Lastly, we have the ram. I'm showing you guys the top side, since its hollow on the bottom. But for its purpose, still looks good. Overall... not a bad set at all! For a dollar you get a complete riot control kit. I might just go back and pick up the Navy SEAL set too.

Previous versions the accessories/big gun were light grey. The newer ones, like yours, are steel grey.
The big gun is very Star Wars, like the Hoth Stormtrooper's tripod lasers. I've never gotten the set. |

My wife bought me a kayak from this line. The figure was really really terrible, but the kayak looked like a kayak and works just fine.

I don't think I saw that specific one, but I did see some other similar figures at a Dollar Tree a few months ago, and I actually did think the accessories and weapons were unexpectedly good for a dollar; I recollect one in particular that included what looked like a Benelli M3 shotgun. This specific accessory set looks pretty worthy overall. (The figures obviously make Chap Mei look like the FSS, but hey, if you're a parent or kid on a tight budget...)

Dollar Tree used to have a lot of good 3 3/4 inch figures, with limited articulation, probably made by Chap Mei. The current crop of figures like this one are indeed garbage, the faces are crushed narrow, almost as if they were all factory rejects.

Oh, and my statement wasn't made to bag on Chap Mei's figures. I think their product is excellent, especially considering the cost and targeted audience. (I prefer The Corps! for inexpensive figs, though.)

Gotcha! Carded singles makes sense. Shame they still don't; Dollar Trees are common in my area.
