you know, I wonder if this was in fact made for Xmen-Origins but they decided to give it to the Joes for a big vehicle. That would explain it's crappy "fun" features.
Well, that's what I'm telling myself because it isn't and never will be a GI JOE vehicle to me. |

Heh...No more "STURDY CONSTRUCTION FOR RUGGED PLAY"...Instead they opt for 2 cent diodes and a speaker to sell a toy instead of a quality made plane that will last years of play. Look at how many original Joe toys survived the 80s!! they survived us playing with them...crashing them..and now they are STILL selling 25 years later on ebay. Thisa thing wont make it a week in the hands of a kid. PATHETIC
I STILL hope the movie FAILS to send a message to Hasbro and Summers that the original 80s Joe was successful for a reason...This kind of CRAP aint it... I would give this a 2/10. This belongs on the Star Wars shelf...NOT G.I.Joe...

Why would u want the movie to fail? I hope it does great because from what I have heard from Hasbro guys is if the movie stuff sells then we get more Arah stuff, if it dosnt do well this could very well be the end of a great line. So I would hope u would want the movie to do well and just remember Hasbro has given us alot of cool things and they will continue to but they have to focus on young kids today. Just think about it and think what our dads thought when they went from 12 inch to 3 3/4, they probably felt the sAme way.
Oh and Hasbro missed the boat on this movie if their goal was to bring in a new generation of GI Joe fans. They would have probably been more successful if they had developed a new made for kids animated cartoon series that could rival The Clone Wars, which a lot of 6-9 year old boys seem to really enjoy these days. |

So basically Hasbro is saying, if I don't spend my money on their movie crap then they will not give me the classic goodies I really want. All I can say to that is, I lived just fine without Hasbro before they introduced the 25th line and will live just fine without them once the 25th line is gone for good. I don't need to Hasbro as much as they need me.

Nevermind that it's a little hard to "miss the boat" when it hasn't even left the port yet. Last edited by Jmacq1; 05-19-2009 at 09:22 AM.. |

Oh and I could not care less if they make money on their movie line or not, I only know I am not buying any of it. As I said, they need me more than I need them. Last edited by jaxscorpio; 05-19-2009 at 10:13 AM.. |

I am quite positive that if the movie is successful then we can expect to see, not only a sequel, but also another animated series that would be aimed at the kids, such as Transformers Animated. However, the only way that can happen is if we support the movie much like we supported the 25A/Modern Era line regardless of our own personal feelings on the subject |

The Clone Wars is coming off 6 very successful movies, a short animated series and 2 generations that have literally grown up with the franchise

No new figs now, I don't buy. If new figs come out next year, sweet, I'll buy then. But I will not buy the movie line just because they MAY make more classic based stuff next year. That's stupid and borderline coercion. "buy this and we'll make what you guys want". Utter Bullshit. bu it seems to be working as many collectors here have shown they will buy this crap hand over fist just to please their overlords. |

That's the thing, I will not support something I have already grown not to like just to be hopeful they make something in the future.

What I meant by support was not buy everything but just be constructive instead of destructive I support everything Hasbro do and appreciate everything they have done. Do I like everything? Not always. Can I change it? No I buy what I like and leave what I don't Hasbro maybe taking a risk but if they didn't take a risk in '82 we wouldn't even be discussing this now |

I believe the topic is the night bird or whatever and how it pales in comparison to the Night Raven. The lack of moving wheels, the handle, the firing missiles, and the single pilot cockpit make this one a big pass for me. Well, all of that and the fact that the original Night Raven just makes this thing look sad. |
