I was on vacation earlier in the week. So, the post was published on Tuesday, but I'm only getting to the notifications today.
But, this week I feature the spectacularly Funskool Tripwire figure from India: Forgotten Figures: 2003 Funskool Tripwire He's a good figure and one of those oddities that, were he released in the early 90's, would command big bucks.

This week is the obscure and oddly colored 2005 Thrasher figure:
Forgotten Figures: 2005 Dreadnok Thrasher - Comic Pack He's something different in a time when different was good. But, he's also still just Thrasher.

Today I look at the Lobisomem or, the Brazilian Cobra Werewolf. Sounds awesome right? Unfortunately, the figure lacks any Cobra markings and, at his core, is a barely repainted 1985 Snake Eyes. That's too bad as the character has potential and could have been a nice, new, Cobra villain to find in Brazil.
But, if the figure had a Cobra sigil, he would cost $300 and probably appeared in a convention set or two. But, he didn't. So, really, this is just a Snake Eyes variant for us obsessed international collectors to track down. Forgotten Figures: Lobisomem - Brazilian Cobra Werewolf

How Hasbro could have missed making a Cobra blue V1 Stormshadow in the 2000's remains one of the great mysteries. Fortunately, Black Major recreated the mold and has filled the gap:

This week I look at something a little different: the 1987 Chilling Events are About to Unfold mail away offer. It was sent by Hasbro directly to kids who had ordered prior mail aways and is full of great art and odd prices:

This week I look at the 2004 Comic Pack Scarlett. At the time of her release, she was kind of bland. But, she's held up better than a lot of other comic pack figures from that time:

Stalker was the one original Joe who was a mainstay in my collection through my final days in 1987. The figure quality, strength of character and overall importance to the comic story made him a requirement.

I wasn't sure about this when I found it on the shelves in the '90's. But, once I got it, it turned out to be pretty solid.
