Good morning!
So I'm officially kicking off my 50th Anniversary Review page and the first two entries are Destro and Leatherneck! These two large, intimidating figures in G.I. Joe history each contain a lot of new parts. They were good ways to kick off this next G.I. Joe line. Check out the reviews below! - G.I. Joe 50th Anniversary Leatherneck - G.I. Joe 50th Anniversary Destro JUST ADDED - G.I. Joe: 50th Anniversary HEAT Viper - G.I. Joe: 50th Anniversary Night Viper JUST ADDED - G.I. Joe: 50th Anniversary Ghost Hawk w/ Snake Eyes - G.I. Joe: 50th Anniversary Cobra Wolf w/ Ice Viper Enjoy! Last edited by General Hawk; 07-23-2014 at 10:37 AM.. Reason: Added more links |

Awesome reviews as always! I really enjoy your reviews and have found myself going back and rereading them often. ON both of these figures it is AMAZING how big they are compared to other modern versions of themselves. WOW! Will they fit into any of the vehicles?

Great reviews to two highly anticipated figures from the 50th, Justin!
It's crazy how much taller these figures are above their predecessors...are we in official 4 3/4" land now? LOL

First I must say--thanks so much for this, I've always loved your particular reviews, it's always so clear what a font of deep Joe knowledge lies behind them. Informative, and enjoyable!
Now, as to the figures themselves...damn, if these are indication of the rest of the 50th product...that is a big bad DOWNER. Soft plastic. Pigeon-toes. Both are principle reasons I was sooooo disappointed with the Retaliation Jinx figure. If Destro is indeed afflicted with these problems, as indicated—then I want nothing to do with the figure. Most anticipated, to most avoided. And forget releasing Vault Gung-Ho. I don’t want him, not under these conditions. I eagerly await the rest of the reviews. They will help me decide which pre-orders to cancel, and which to retain. I was all-in with this small line—something I have never been before, not even with POC or 30th. But I was all-in, ready to “do my part for the brand” on the assumption that the quality would at least be on par with, say, Retaliation wave 3.5. But hell, maybe this latest info is just a hard slap to the head, to knock a crazy notion (“support the brand!”) out of my skull, and remind me of my original intention with these toys—buy quality, and forget the crap. I should probably hold my tongue until more reviews come out. OOPS. But I have a sinking feeling right now. My two most anticipated figures—the two “newest” figures, basically—and at least one is looking like a failure. This does not augur well…

I wonder if 25th Ann Destro's lower legs can be used with the 50th figure to get rid of the pigeon toe issue?

I'm glad I already have the SRO version of Destro...otherwise i'd be sorely disappointed about the pigeon toes issue with the upcoming version.
Leatherneck looks ok, but the camouflage not fully distributed bothers me. Hopefully the other figures are better...
