With a G.I. Joe drought for the past seven months, due to Paramounts delay of G.I. Joe:Retaliation. New Joes are slowly starting to hit the pegs.
For a quick review let's take a look at Lady Jaye played by the lovely Adrianne Palicki. Lady Jaye seems like a figure that belongs in the POC lineup instead of a movie toy line. She has so much gear, that to me it seems a little too much. She comes with Zap v5's bazooka, back pack and rockets. Lifeline v7 and Beachead v15 rifles. Baroness v14 and Shock Troopers' machine guns. Duke v42's machete, Beachead v15's knives, and of course her backpack and trusty javelin that were included with Lady Jaye v6. According to the "cliff notes" on the card not only is she the Covert Ops that we've known since 1985, but she is also a weapons expert. Which is probably why she comes with so much gear. I personally don't like a figure that comes with gear they can't carry on their persons at one time. The majority of the accessories are molded in a color similar to the gear that came with Beachead in the first wave of the three packs. Hasbro did go all out with paint details on the two rifles and her javelin. The Retaliation Lady Jaye is the same mold used on Renegades Scarlett with a new head mold. I love the camo applications done on Lady Jaye. I think the head mold is nice and I am glad that it was molded in flesh and not paint. Renegade Scarlett's head mold is nice also but with the sloppy paint really ruined it for me. Like I said Lady Jaye's head mold is nice but it really doesn't resemble Ms. Palicki. She remindes me more of the SDCC exclusive Jinx from last summer. I have read in the past that the head mold looks to wide, a little on the chubby side. It really doesn't bother me. She is not a Movie accurate figure, but it's still a nice figure. Makes me wonder if Hasbro plans on a more Movie accurate Lady Jaye. I seriously doubt it knowing how much they love female figures. Oh well, this one will have to do.

I'll stick with my 5-pack Lady Jaye but I'll definitely pick this one up for something. And you gotta love when a figure when a figure comes with tons of accessories.

Got Lady Jaye last week and I like the figure a lot.
Actually, the headsculpt isn't too far off. Looks quite a bit like Adrianne Palicki. I would have preferred her to come with some webbing and it would have been nice if her arms were not that skinny. Otherwise, an all around cool figure and I will pick up two or three more for modifications. |

I love this rendition of Lady Jaye. She needs some web gear desperately though.

Thanks for the review. I'm a big fan of Mayday from the old DDP comics. I think this figure works very well as a Mayday figure.
