I'm kinda curious as to why they don't go the cloth cape route like they do with the Star Wars figures. That would make more sense to me in terms of posability etc. They did do so for a couple figures (IG Destro, comic pack CC)...and since this figure has a lot more cape/tunic, it seems a given. Guess not.

Darth Vader for example, his cape adds atmosphere around him depending on what he's doing.

i really dig this cobra commander, i just picked him up yesterday and i was quite impressed with him, only flaw is he doesnt have much leg movement but overall i think its one of the better CC's made, im liking the resolute figs alot so i cant wait to get the rest to come.

I dunno... I found him the other day at wal mart and put him back so I could get a 2nd Blowtorch instead. His head looks really, really, really... Big. The 25th version was too small but this... Can't we have something in the middle?! Maybe if I have 7 or 8 bucks burning a hole in my pocket after payday I could possibly get him. I just don't really care for "RESOLUTE!!" so far, and I haven't really seen any parts I want to use from the figures that have been released. He looks kinda cool but I'd rather stick to the classic versions of the figures. I'm still kicking myself over most of the SpyTroops and Joe vs. Cobra figures I bought. I'm kind of wary of NEW versions of old figures.

I honestly didn't think much of this one, based off the pics. However...holding it in my hand, it's absolutely a beautiful figure. The militaristic formal look just suits CC so well, I love it. I have no plans on going crazy on Resolute or the Movie line, but when the occasional one like this comes along, I'll be happy to add it to my collection.
Besides the great mold design, the "Best of the 80's" bigger head and helmet now look correct and much better than the 25th since it is now on a larger body.
The only negatives (and they are slight) is that the shoulder and arm joints of the 25th were always a bit stiff. While we did get two working hands, that has not been resolved here. Also the molded kama restricts movement.
9 out of 10.

I got mine a few weeks ago and I think he looks great. I thought the new resolute were going to suck....I think they are awesome. It's a nice change o a modern era Joe.

Thanks for another great review, I am really looking forward to this figure. To me it is just another new and seperate wave from the anniversary line. I can't wait.

I'm glad to see that he is scoring high in the 8-10 range. I give it an 8/10. I saw him a few times at Walmart but had to pass because I have one coming from BBTS so my judgement is based on seeing him on the card and not open. I like the new take on the resolute line alot. I am not a traditionalist who pisses on everything if it doesn't look like it's 80s counter part! I find the Resolute CC a little awkward in porportions but overall a good new version of a worn out figure.

Love the mask and helmet ... Hate the skirt, and I know I am a product of the 80's here ... But muted gray tones are not the only way to make something look "ass kicking" ... Great mold though...
