the colors make him a easy shockwave custom! but we are already getting him so it's a pointless re-paint. but a nice figure and different. kinda reminds me of the repaints of the past...v1 alley vipers/ battle corps alley vipers

I like the color scheme and the look, not quite sure why. Love the use of the CP backpack, as it seems this would be the equipment used by a sabateur. The webgear I like. Wasn't a big fan of the vest from the CP.
So this figure seems to combine the best of both worlds, to me. The difference being the new paint job. And I like it. So this figure gets a good solid 7.

I dont really like the color at all, the first version and CP version were far better then this one, not needed at all.

Is this colour scheme a Hasbro creation or did it appear at some point in the comic or cartoon??

Where's the negative number?
Seriously, this is probably the most unnecessary repaint yet (aside from Torch & Ripper). They've taken regular Firefly, made him blue and tossed in some of the Comic Pack accessories. I'd rather have seen a battle damaged Firefly, like from issue #31 of the Marvel run. I gave him a 4. It's not the worst figure I've ever seen, but I'll probably only buy him to use his body and arms for a Deep Six "out of the diving suit" custom I'm working on. It'll save me from having to repaint everything blue. |

6 for me. While it's not a bad figure, it was an unnecessary one. The color scheme isn't terribly unique, especially if you have the battlepack version. The accessories however, are nice (if you're one of the people that passed on the comic pack for some reason.)
If they were going to do a straight repaint, I think it would have been cool to do the brown camouflage version from the 2000 2-pack with Undertow. (One of the few figures from the "repaint" era that worked for me.) |

I like this version for some reason...yes I know its another repaint but I didnt really like the green color scheme on the CP version. I, like every one else, will add the CP vest to this version. I do like the accessoires these last two Fireflys have came with...how cool is a mag light and a multitool?
Overall- 6/10....unlike the Torch in the wave as a 0/10...that my friends is pure unbridled horse doo doo. Doc

Maybe we should have your opinion and the people's opinion.
Regardless, at first I didn't quite care for the figure I thought "It's nice of hasbro to make a similar figure to the exclusive for those who couldn't get it". But after awhile it grew on me, and now I'd say that this Fire fly is better than the one from the green shirt pack. Looking at him without the web gear showed me that , this particular figure, can look much better without web gear or other accessories, for that matter. I was always a fan of blue camo going way back and this seems much more plausible comparing it to it's exclusive counter part, which seems off giving it's mix of silver cobra sigil and brown harness. In addition to the camo I'd say the cobra sign is much better placed on the firefly than previous versions. It also seems to contrast better on the dark blue than the original pale grey. The paint job also gives as sense of detail that wasn't shown before in that his shirt is a different hue of blue. Although this may seem insignificant it brings out the shirt more noticeably, like in wave 1 snake eyes when they painted his shoulder straps and pouches a lighter shade of grey, as opposed to wave 5 snake eye's solid black scheme where the pouches were less noticeable. If they had given him at least an uzi and a shotgun to vary his weapons, and/or made the back pack dark blue I would have scored it higher.
