I had an issue with my black ones. The canopy when pressed down was meeting an obstruction where the hinge was at the back. I sanded the underside of the "split peg" part where the canopy hinges from. It removed the obstruction and allowed the canopy to sit flush. If you open and close your canopy repeatedly, and keep an eye on the hinge itself, you might be able to indentify what part is actually causing the canopy to pop off. Another fix(If you you have access to tools), is to drill the outer hull, straight though the hinge part itself and add a pivot pin. Once in place, you can fill the holes on either side. I'd reckon all in, drilling and filling, you'd be talking an hour of work in total, and perhaps a five minute paintjob to cover the filler. |

I actually like the VvV Thunderwing a bit better. Yeah, it's nowhere near true-to-shape as the True Heroes model, but I like the fact that the Thunderwing tries to emulate the Raptor's internal weapons bay with a clever spring-loaded system.
I also like it's other gimicks a lot more than I thought I would, find that it's two seat configuration has a lot of appeal (however contrary to reality that it is), and think it just has this pretty GI Joe "glow" about it.

I think for any flaws it has, the TH F-22 FAR outshines the Thunderwing.
The Thunderwing just looks too toylike. Whereas the TH jet is an accurately proportioned F-22 in 1/32 scale. |

Yeah and the Thunderwing lacks any real wingspan.
