Review: 30th Anniversary VAMP MK-II with Steel Brigade Delta Click on the link for my review. BTW I know over at TFW there is just one generic review thread for each item, and if anyone else has their two cents they'll throw it into the main topic instead of creating a new one. Does that apply here? Also, kinda disappointed the new VAMP isn't as dark as it was at the SDCC display... but still cool in general.

I think as well its a well build vehicle. I just got the POC version myself and doing a paint and detail job, and its coming together nicely, and Im also doing the clutch figure as well. Will post pics when Im done. And when I get the MK-II Im going to do the same with that bad boy and its driver.

I'd like to customize this thing into the Autobot Roadbuster.

I never got the POC Mk-1, but have 2 of the MK-2 (and Black Dragons) on preorder through BBTS. I actually don't/won't mind the plain green/grey color scheme, since my Joe unit is on the drab side anyways, and the one SBD figure I keep will turn into Grunt.
I'll be happy with the subtle color changes. The tan of the original made it too desert-ish. The greens and "fixed wheel mounts" make it more original VAMP-ish While I do agree, the figure and vehicle could use a dirty paint wash, we shall see.

If I ever learn how to do a good dirty wash... I'd do it to both VAMPs. I will say though, the MK-1 isn't that tan. The pictures lie except for that last pic in the original post. The one on the right is what my MK-1 looks like.

I never saw the PoC one at retail. I'm glad I found this one. My only complaints are the stickers (too many) and the floppy chain gun. The ammo container looks funny because it doesn't fit flush against the post. It just looks weird to me seeing the peg like that. Oh well. The figure is awesome and when you break it down, it's a great deal. $8.00 for the figure and $12 for the vehicle? Hell yeah!
Edit: I glued the base of the chain gun to the vamp. It was ridiculously floppy, but now it's solid.

I love the VAMP, one of the best Joe vehicles I've ever had the pleasure of using, IMO. I enjoyed it with the jungle POC version, and now this basic green will apply for any environment!
I do with the sticker sheet was different, some of them have trouble showing on the darker green plastic. I also noticed that this VAMP's green plastic body has a texture feel to the touch, where the POC VAMP was a smooth plastic. The figure is nice, great use of parts, with a new head and helmet to boot! I love the helmet, I wish all the Steel Brigades rocked it. The only sucky thing is the figures lower body and hips are pretty loose on mine.
