well your posting of the hiss photo is not the point. :P
Reps are known to do that one time or another, but for this particular figure, the placement of the magazine is frequently seen placed at the bottom of the gun... so these other photos of POC IGs taken from reviews and other toy fairs are coincidentally all wrong or as you termed silly? or Hasbro is wrong placing it there even if they designed it that way? Really, I had no idea that so many illustrations of that figure being that way even existed. I've now gained respect for your figure assemblies in this review, but lost some respect for the design of this figure overall. You were right. Lame accessories. |

top notch review, I really must say!
However, the HD pack does accommodate the bullet belt if you clip the front (I'll say) two bullet tips off at just the right length. Red Cent is proof of that. |

My comments:
1. My ammo belt fit fine with it attached to the right side of the gun as carried. It looped back to the backpack fine. No glue needed. 2. In the multiple photos from Hasbro displays - are two ammo cans pictured or is the ammo can removable from the pack frame? I am afraid to try and pull them apart - So many flimsy accessories these days. 3. Paratrooper rifle as accessory. Come on Hasbro, at least, change the color. So many other better rifles available. It looks like something from WWII not a cutting edge weapon that an IG would use. 4. Figure balance if real. The ammo below the gun would not be practical to use. Unless the IG is some sort of power lifter, he would not be able to fire and maneuver, short of resting the gun on the ammo can and taking a knee to fire or something like that. Putting the ammo on the back, acts as a counterbalance to the heavy barrel with the left arm fully extended. Overall, like the figure. |

When the product arrived in the hands of the consumer (many of whom have no real world experience carrying/firing belt fed machine guns, the consumers followed the incorrect set-up of one or more Hasbro reps. As danielgogeta demonstrated in four different photographs on this thread, there are actually at least three different incorrect ways to assemble the accessories on this action figure which others have tried. Most probably copied the first wrong example they witnessed, but tried their own modifications. We have actually changed G.I. Joe history for this action figure, because years from now, collectors will still reference these photographs as they try to complete/display this figure. Wrong will be the official Right. Happy Independence Day, America! |

Man this guy is growing on me too bad this wave with the Rock Viper never grew on the shelves, lucky I got my RV for $8 shipped off of here.
I think they did simply repack the paratrooper rifle and while it looks odd compared to the smart gun, I think it makes sense in some crazy way with Destro being the history buff, that he would fit their guns with bayonets. So they can look all cool guarding the castle. Does anyone else think the helmet kind of looks like a pig face?
