My Review of the Rise of Cobra Deep Six figure is below. He's basically a repainted reissue of Lt Torpedo from the 25th Anniversary line, with the addition of a new base and a firing weapon. If you liked Lt Torpedo or don't own him and want a cool SCUBA diver, Deep Six is a solid - if a little average - choice. Not the most exciting of figures - and he has a couple of production issues - but fairly good fun. That Figures: REVIEW: GI Joe Rise of Cobra - Deep Six

Now, this is one figure I wish would have received the ROC treatment that Shipwreck got....an actual update and not just a repaint.

It's a nice enough figure but it could've been more.

I agree, it's still a nice figure though. It's just that Hasbro has become less than creative with GI Joe.

There have been some real stand-outs over the last few years and I personally like the way the figures aren't so ''comicbookish'' as some of the earlier Joes but at the same time, it would be nice to see something a little braver now and again.

Meh, there will always be straight repaints in a toyline. Some will be better then others. I don't think this one figure really speaks to Hasbro's creativity.

As I said in the Review - at least they picked a reasonable figure to re-release...

I just use him as Torpedo because I like the camo better than the plain gray/black.

Repaint him all black and add a .50 Barrett and you've got yourself a Dr. Fumbles custom.
At least, that's what I'm going to do to him... |

I doubt many people would notice the difference.
