Wait, does Mercer have ear rings?
And Spirit's missing some paint apps on the laces of his elbow pads. Really stands out on the flesh colored forearms. "Barbeque Kelly" looks really good though. So does Low-Light. |

"So why the lower score? Because they all have the traditional ball hips, without any sort of knee or thigh cut. The hips themselves are good (and they use the metal posts, making them virtually indestructible), but without any sort of cut on the upper leg, the poses are greatly restricted. This has always bugged me, and it looks like it will continue to do so."
Am I alone in my gratitude that Joes don't have a thigh-cut? I hate thigh cuts. Unless you can have a holster strap or something to obscure the cut, the added articulation doesn't adequately compensate for the ugliness of the cut. |

I agree, the thigh pivot needs to be above the thigh in the hip or not at all. This new MU articulation standard in the thigh is awkward looking.

Just look at the captain America figures *blech* "the poses are greatly restricted"...what? The only pose you might not achieve is a Joe with crossed legs. I can live with that. The articulation that Iron Man figures have (and what they love at Cpt Action) sucks. I often find myself struggling to get the exact posing i want, mostly because you have to make a double play with the horizontal cut, and the vertical ring joint. Bah!

Trying to get some of those figures just to stand up straight with their hips oriented properly is a freaking chore. And yes, the "below the hip" cut/mid-thigh swivel is usually ugly. |

I'm not a fan of this Spirit figure and was disappointed that it was reused in this set. Why is the Native American the only one to go into battle without a shirt on...? Even the square jawed Wave 7 figure from the 25th anniversary assortment was better than this stereotype-perpetuating disaster.

I don't care for this repaint of the PoC Spirit, but the sculpt is just as superior to the Anniversary sculpt as MOTUC sculpts are superior to vintage MOTU sculpts. I can't believe you see this new Spirit as a stereotype while championing the Anniversary version. |

Would the POC head work on the 25th sculpt body for Spirit? Or would it look completely out of whack?
