I received my paratrooper Dukes from Target today and it was the first Sigma 6 that I had opened. It's frakkin' AWESOME! I've had this figure for what two years....but left it in a bin...and just ordered a few more via Target.com and man...this figure is awesome. Now...
It's nearly 1:00 a.m....and I'm quite tempted to go through my near complete S6 collection and open them all up..... Ughh.... keep in package....open package.... keep in package.... open package.... or just by someone's loose lot on eBay.... Damn! I know it's late....but for fellow fathers on this forum, are you all keeping the weapons in baggies or something or just letting the kids rummage through them. Maybe I should just open one of the Dukes, one of the Snake Eyes, one of each character.....ughh....

Go through and see if there are any you can open, that would be easy for you to acquire again in the future if you feel the need.

Open them!!
You would enjoy them all that much more. And maybe even discover something more of the appeal behind the character that you wouldn’t have if you left it sealed. If I never opened Short Fuze, I never would have seen what his face looked like. I would say open a few at a time, instead of all at once. Take time with each figure –pose them, put them at the center of your shelf. I felt guilty, at first, opening the ones I have, especially the rarer ones. What made me feel better about opening them is taking pictures. I took pictures of the figure in the sealed case (front, back, sideways). After all, the packaging is part of the charm. I felt better about opening it because at least I now have a record of the memory of what how it appeared packaged. Then I take action shot photos of the figure. This is when I really get to appreciate the figure and all its detail and articulation. I am also a dad, and I would say definitely use baggies for the weapons. I put a label on the baggy identifying whose weapons they belong to. Whatever you choose to do, make sure you enjoy them! |

I see alot of sigma 6 stuff lying around. I always pass on it though. I figure the 25th line keeps me plenty busy and costs alot of money...

Hey guys,
It does get expensive, especially if you are getting several, variations and the vehicles, comic packs, etc. for the 25th Anniversary line but if you have never tried the S6...definitely try one at least with the Hasbrotoyshop sale going on or even the $4.99 Target Patratrooper Duke. I'm pretty much near complete as well for S6 but I'm awestruck after opening that Paratrooper Duke. I was collecting S6 for the main sake of getting anything GI Joe action figures but now, I've started opening the Sigma 6 toys that I have and I'm just shocked of how awesome they are and how they look, the articulation and the amount of things they come with.

I just recently did the same thing. Had about 20 or so S6 figures all sealed in my closet.
I'm getting ready to move, and in the interest of conserving space I opened them all up. I am a bit glad that I did because the figures are even more fantastic when you get to play with them! |

i have one set MIB, with the minor variants ( Firefly gloves on/off, Wet-Suit leaning, 3 Timber's, etc.) i never got into the heavy-hitting variants.
and i also have a loose set for display. they are really cool to show, i always loved that line despite it's many detractors. |
