I just got my first Sigma Six figure too today (It is Dusty). I am impressed how sturdy the figure is. The scorpion is really a great accessory and I love the little pocket knife that is actually articulated.
It is sad they couldn't have continued these along with the modern era 4" line. They could even have made crossovers between them. |

Dusty thinks it's funny, just look at the smug look on his face!
Seriously though it is a preproduction figure, though other than the marks on his chest it looks pretty finished to me. The guy I got it from also had Colton and Wetsuit from the same assortment and sold them to other collectors. I really like Dusty and love how this figure captures the iconic image of the character...and yes, the smug look is cool too. Last edited by Dem_Yoe'z!; 02-06-2017 at 08:05 PM.. |

Edit: I'm not sure how many were made. I saw a review on Dusty online from a few years ago that said there were two. This one was not one of those two so I'd say there's at least three. My guess is that they made more than that because they are fully finished figures, but the others might not have made it out of the factory and might even have been destroyed (a common fate for preproduction and cancelled figures unfortunately). Thanks! I can't reveal who the seller was. I have bought modern era stuff from this person, and when I saw the Dusty I really liked how he looked and decided to get it. Now I need to get Dusty some friends. I like the Storm Shadow with the tiger so that will probably be the first.

Colton was cool but I thought SF and Dusty were two of the coolest unproduced figs. I don't think I ever saw a proto of Wet Suit though. Was there one released after the first one with the mine? If you like Sigma you have to get Shipwreck, Flint, Lockdown and LT Stone, they are awesome figs! Last edited by Dusty Ayers; 02-07-2017 at 12:05 AM.. |

I'm definitely going to pick up a few more S6 figures. Is the Shipwreck you mentioned the one in the pictures earlier in this thread? Definitely a cool figure. I really like that Zartan too!
I didn't see the Wetsuit as it had been sold before I knew about it, but I know he came with a shark. Last edited by Dem_Yoe'z!; 02-07-2017 at 01:11 AM.. |

It's a shame that they weren't well liked because they are just great toys. However, that isn't a bad deal for folks who go into them late because the after market prices are very reasonable. |
