curious to your insight DESTRO. I would think barring variants, one of those six will be LT.Torpedo (would most definitely been LT. Stone, if they hadn't re-released that wave).

I have to say that last Destro with the Gas Mask was pretty cool. That's saying a lot as I really disliked the line as a whole.

I'm non-discriminating and with every GI Joe that people have hated throughout the 25 years, I bought and own. As for "Sigma 6", those toys were freakin' awesome. Maybe not for the hardcore GI Joe ARAH fans but for the weapons and the accessories, GI Joe parents who grew up as kids should be happy if their children played GI Joe (period) and if Sigma 6 was it, those were freakin' cool toys.
I watched a lot of the first season of S6 but parts of the second season was available and missed everything else but managed to purchase every S6 toy (non-variants) with the exception of Wet Suit, Cobra Firefly and red paratrooper Ninja. But otherwise, everyone has their own opinion. I was the same way with the 90's GI Joe releases and the Street Fighter GI Joe releases and ended up owning some of them too...hehe..

Sigma 6 was fun to collect while it lasted but the 25th series is undeafeated brings us back to the 80's where it all started. And if it never started there would have never been a sigma 6 line

I liked the size and the style of the figures as well. I just wished that they were all ARAH themed instead.

It was too anime/manga for me.
I don't mind anime/manga. But to see things I had grown up with going towards that generic style that every cartoon seems to have these days was disappointing. The robots were cool, but the cartoon had the same lame stories at Bakugan, Mik-Al-jacksagan, Yu-gi-oh, and others. The characters lacked depth as well. This same rant applies to TF: animated, Marvel comics in 97, and anything else they attempt to "manganize". The reason why joes were so cool is that they avoided this completely. The toys were meh. I would have preferred to see them done in 3 3/4 style. But that didn't happen. I would have at least bought a few of the villains in that style. |

I hated it. Good riddance. I feel for those who enjoyed it as it's always sad when a line you like goes the hard way, but they, in my opinion, were pretty awful.
Flint with long hair and no beret? Suck ass.

I got into this line late last year, kind of an impulse thing really thanks to TRU stocking the Zartan/Stone case (I always secretly wanted the Zartan figure when they were in stores).
I had fun cleaning out TJ Maxx, Ross, old K-Marts, anywhere I could find them and put together the collection I wanted. I went from being a hater, to appreciating what they were trying to do and while I still think they're great toys, I'm going to be letting what I have go. I just don't have the room between RAH and Sigma 6. |
