I just wanted to know if anyone here would like to see any of the current 25th Anniversary figures scaled up to a Sigma 6 or Marvel Legends size. Another cool idea would be to see some of the better well known characters made into Hasbro's larger sized Unleashed figures.
I loved the size of the Sigma 6 line. I even liked their articulation. I didn't however like the styles and colors they chose for original ARAH characters. I'm old school, and I know that Sigma 6 was a new story line and all, but I'm all about keeping the characters looking the way they originally were shown to us 25 years ago. That's the way they captured our hearts and imagination. Another thing that I didn't like about the Sigma 6 line was that I thought some of the weapons looked too over sized or too "futuristic" looking. What ever happend to good ole army figures? I guess that's another reason why I hated the Battle Force 2000 and Eco Warriors from the original line. What are your thoughts about what you would like to see if Hasbro did made a line of ARAH figures that were 8 inches tall or so? |

No way. I'd rather Hasbro concentrate on just the scale that we have now so we can get more 25th figures made. SW can barely thrive with more than two scales so I don't think Joe can, either (now that we have 12" Joes on the horizon). I do believe Hasbro said the 25th figure size and build is the Joe figure for the future (meaning all Joes will be the same size and of the same basic construction as these 25th figures).

The scale of gijoes is what made them perfect for me as a kid. I could pack an entire battle inside a lunchbox, whereas transformers and thundercats and masters of the universe practically were lunchboxes. I have no need for bigger figures.

Nah, never liked the Sigma 6 stuff just because of their size. Much prefer the 3.75" stuff.

Nope. Don't want them, don't need them. Part of what makes GI Joe great are the vehicles, and the larger the figure the lamer and more out of proportion the vehicles become. Imagine how crappy a 1:9 Skystriker or Mobat would look let alone something like the Flagg.

I agree with 3.75" to 4" as the best format for figures. Scale is key. I really think, and have thought since I was a kid for that matter that all action figures should be this scale so that everything would be compatible. It would have been the illest thing to me as a kid if MASK, Thundercats, Silverhawks, Sectaurs, Masters of the Universe, Secret Wars and Super Powers were all in the same scale. I know most kids didn't care or were oblivious to scale, but something about the figures heads not being in proportion irked me except with the Hulk and other big characters, (there's a lot of 5" scale Toy Biz Marvel superheroes that are in scale with GI Joes). I guess I was just odd like that. So I really hope Hasbro concentrates more on the 3.75 inch scale and translates the Marvel Legends characters properly to Joe Scale.

I never got into the sigma 6 line so i would have to say i would like the 25th line to stay the same scale as it is now. The smaller joes are easier to collect and don't take up as much room. I am already having enough trouble trying to find room for all the small figures i have...

I collect 12 inch & 3 3/4 figures. 12 inch is what started Joe and 3 3/4 perfected it. Anything in between, isn't my thing. That's why I never really got into Marvel Legends(only have Blade & Deadpool cuz they're my favorite characters outside of Joe's & Star Wars), but I do have most of the SHS, cuz the're close in scale with my Joe's and Star Wars fig's.
