Swung into TRU to see if the sale would help with anything. I got lucky and they had 2 crimson hiss on the shelf. Employee discount, $10 credit from christmas shopping, + BOGO 50%off = 2 for the price of one. ALso picked up a couple sting raiders from Ross.
As to getting stuff last. Distribution goes in from CA or possibly TX, so takes the longest to ship from the west to the east.

Yea too many stores in the winchester area have wave 2 out the butt and then the ones that don't won't give you any info on if they are ordering anymore and some don't carry joes. I am seriously thinking of using a credit card and transfering all the peg warmers over to one store to move things along. Hate me if you must but at least this way we may see wave 3 or wave 4.
Also: please return them further west, NOT east in NoVA where theres a ton of us. haha. |

If you're going to do that, make sure to wait till the wave you want actually shows up at the chain you're doing the shifting, otherwise they'll just get in more cases of wave 2.

I got it easy here, I have 4 walmarts within 15mins of me. I planned it out. Only one walmart seems to get in joes, like one case a month. Then there are 2 that have old stock on their shelves, and I mean old like pre renegades but its just duke and stormy. Then the last one doesn't carry joes. Now, what I plan to do is buy the old stock from the 2 and move it to the one that is not carrying joes. This in turn frees up two walmarts and makes another carry joes. No one should be mad at me if I do this.
MUAHAHAHA. I do this with Transformers (usually at Target) all the time. When one store has 3 old Generations figs on the shelves and the new wave is sighted at a Target in Ohio or some crap, I'll buy those last 3 figs, then stalk that target every day for a week till they get the new case in, then either just return the 3 figs to that store or if i'm going out of town soon just return them somewhere else. |

I've been pondering doing this with star wars vintage at the 28 super target. They have had the same 3 figs hanging on the pegs for awhile. Not sure if 3 is above the minimum threshold for ordering or if they have an inventory error though.

Still the problem is, after you do this you have to wait around for them to order and then you have to wait for them to come in.
Tomorrow I am going to talk to the toy manager and ask if I can order a case. I have been told it might be possible. If it is then that might be the way to go if I can get a hold of wave 4. I will also be able to get the walmart employee discount on it since my mother works their and she will be buying it for me for christmas. |

Another fix (if its only a few figs) is just to buy them and return them to another store that is moving stock fairly well, and the empty peg will force a inventory count (Target has an assigned person that walks the aisles each week and marks/fixes any empty slots - its the "grey dots" you see every now and again). |
