In Springfield:
Campbell Walmart & Independence Walmart had the newer white card Crimson Guard Destros. Also - Target has a sale on the comic 2-packs right now - $8 instead of ~$10. |

I had to drive all the way to the north side of town tonight to help my brother setup his DSL so of course I stopped by both super centers.
North Kansas Walmart had the latest figures like elsewhere. They still had one Snake Eyes V1. I stopped by the north town walmart on my way home (about 10:00). I'm strolling down the isle towards the toy department and get a little excited because it is late enough that they have the stock pallets out in the isles. Sure enough there is one sitting right there in the toy department. All the way at the botom of the stack what do I see? Yes! Vehicles wave 2! So I found a nice guy cleaning up the toy area and ask him if he was going to be stocking the stuff on the pallet soon. He asked if there was something specific I wanted and dug out the box and opened it for me. One of each, Firebat, Sharc, Vamp, and trouble bubble/ram. I, of course, grabbed the Firebat and Sharc. So keep your eyes out. They are here! Edit: Forgot to mention that north town also had 4 or 5 Flash if anyone is still looking for one. Last edited by Jakuren; 09-23-2008 at 11:48 PM.. Nice score, Jakuren. Which Wal-Mart are you talking about north of the river (Gladstone, Barry Road, Liberty)?
Glad to hear they've hit the area. If they're anything like Wave 1, we shouldn't have any problems getting them. And welcome to the boards.

Sorry Boodro, Jakuren means north Kansas Expressway here in Springfield, MO. He found the vehicles at the North Town Walmart, north Glenstone.
Only reason I know this is because I'm his wife and he was sooo excited when he brought them home last night! Of course, it's not like I wasn't looking for them, too Late night Walmart runs are the best - we've scored a lot of toys (not just GI Joes) directly off the stocking pallets...gives me a warm fuzzy inside... |

Hmmm, more competition or new friends in my turf?
Not really looking for the Firebat, but news of new toys being stocked in Springfield will send me to check every store in town. Anyhow, since there are more than two active 'tankers in town maybe we should all meet up. Oh newbies, drop a line to Viper 48 he lives here to. |

You shouldn't have to worry about us too much. I never buy more than one of anything except for the occasional "favorite figure" to keep one in the package. I usualy only get out on the weekends but Alastria is lucky enough to have a few options while driving to/from work and even sometimes during the day when she has to be out and about. So you will probably see more "oooo look what I found posts from her. lol A meetup could be fun. We could gather at the Pizza Hut in Target for some pizza then head back to the toy isle to stare longingly at the empty Rattler shelf and the plethora Wild Bills. ;) |

Worried? Nah, most of the collectors in this area have been pretty cool. I buy one of everything with the exception of troop builders, but even with that it's never more than a few. I think if we meet up we should also have a giant GI Joe war or something to.
