Snow Serpent, I hear ya, but agree with Zarana on this. Maybe its different in KC but here in Springfield we see little if any new items. I'll hit Target again tomorrow to check on the Sky Striker, hopefully I'll find one. If not here maybe up by you, will be KC over the week end and will hit every Target I can find. I still think the manufactureres are holding product for the Christmas season and hopefully will flood us with product. Only time will tell. Good luck on your hunts.

In KC most of today, first Target I went in had a case of Sky Strikers, not the shelf, in back, went in back and brought me one. Very friendly staff. Got one. At $34.99 I settle for this one unless some sales get going on these, awesome vehicle. Wild Bill would have been a better pilot.

My thanks to the people at Fenton Target that went to the back to get me a Skystriker, and a big F*** YOU to the lazy ass people at Arnold Target that told me you have three in stock but you "don't know where they are."
Way to make a sale, idiots. Inconvenienced front desk worker to toy dept. worker: "It's a GI Joe Skystriker with . . .figurine or something. . ." |

Ran into the Hasbro rep(s), two of them at Target today, target is still doing thier resets, not done yet, other retailers should start soon or at the end of the month, told me there is plenty of product, its up to the retailers to shelve it. Most are waiting until September for the Christmas season to start up. Should be plenty of Joe's coming. However, production is down due to the economy, which I believe, the first thing to go in a tough economy is hobby interest. Since most of our expedable income is down we stick to the things we need to run our lives (food, clothing and shelter), toys take a back seat. On a brighter note, they did advise that Target has at least 2 or 4 shelf tags for vehicles and the sky striker is huge for them and doing great which pushes the Joe brand which encourages the retailers to buy more product. They are looking to the movie next year to really boost the Joe product line so keep your fingers crossed and see the movie. Right now and since the spring the Joe line has been on hold due to all the other lines that are out with movies, etc. Our current War(s) aren't helping the sale of military type toys right now, same thing happened in the 70's with the big Joes. Any way, happing hunting.

Was just on HTS, they still have all the SDCC figures listed, all out of stock of course, if this is like last year just remove them from the site rather than tease everyone. They didn't replenish the figures from last year either so are they going to do it this year? Doubt it.
They removed all the other out of stock Joes. Either sell them or remove them. Just my thoughts. |
