Also, I found another speculator. I've seen this guy a few times at TArget and he wanders the toy aisles punching in codes into the scanner. He also was filling a hand-basket with Star Wars figures.

yep, all the Jokers are being bought for ebay. Channel 2 had a story a few weeks back about how the Joker figure is "selling for over $50 on ebay!".
I haven't seen one, but I'll just wait a few months when they are everywhere. |

I thought they stopped maiking the Ledger Joker figure because he was deemed "too scary" by the company or something. I could have sworn I read that somewhere.
Also, I saw an Aquaman at the Aurora TRU like three weeks ago. It was a short-haired, old school Superfriends looking version. Is that the one you're looking for, Superfly? If so, I'll pick one up if I ever see one again. Seems I'm always bumping into case fresh toys from lines I don't collect. If I was a scalper, I think I'd be making a killing. |

Gaelinic,
I would REALLY appreciate a hook-up on the SDCC CC if you're getting extras. I'm sure SWJay feels the same way. Let me know if you're planning on buying extras and I can get you some $$ before you go. Everyone, I was in San Francisco over the weekend and stopped at a couple Targets out there. They too were devoid of new comic packs. So it's not just Denver. Also, if you spot a Battle Rancor I'm in need. |

Got my Rancor today. Cool beast, though I don't care for the blue paint. Oh well.
I picked up a Heath Ledger Joker toady at the same Target for someone who wants it (Gaelinic, Superfly?). I don't collect Batman figures but I remembered you guys discussing it here. I know there are two different styles, a cartoony one and a realistic one...this one is the cartoony version. Let me know if anyone's interested. |

How are they and how do they compare with the Joes?

OK Guys, First I am sorry that I did not snag them up but I have several hobbies, and Joe is the least of where my funds are alocated.
Second, the Highlands Ranch Wal*Mart Supercenter HAd/Has a case of Wave 8 Joes. I was there at 9:30 pm 6/5/8. I snagged up Artic Snake Eyes, Major Bludd and Tiger Force Flint. I left Python Patrol, and several other figs. Additionaly there where two each of the Copperhead/Shipwreck and Duke/General Star or whatever comic packs. I left those as I couldn't care less about any except maybe Copper Head, even though we have NO vehicles that it would matter to have loose drivers for. |

Gaelinic,
Fett is right ..... the SDCC Cobra Commander interests me, and I would appreciate the hook-up. With that said, I realize I may be low on the list as I am relatively new to the board and have not met you. However, whatever you could do is appreciated. Having been the SDCC the last two years I can tell you this ... the Joe exclusives sell out early every day and are allocated over the four days. The line at the Hasbro booth is ridiculous for almost the entire day or at least until the Joe and/or Transformer exclusives sell out. Hit it first, or your will be waiting for a bit. Regardless, plan on waiting for a good 45 minutes to an hour minimum unless you are near the front of the line initially. The good news is that over the couple years I have been at SDCC, Hasbro has improved their throughput and effectiveness at getting people in and out more quickly. Hope the info helps. Regardless of whether you can score the Joes for me, I would definitely appreciate it if you could pick up a couple of the SDCC Star Wars exclusive Vader sets. Historically, the SW exclusives are not hard to get at SDCC and do not sell out as quickly as the Joes. I am sure Fett wants at least one as well. I know you have a lot of requests on you for SDCC, so again whatever your can do is appreciated. Thanks! |
