Fuck that, bring a cooler of beer and chill with the boys outside or something. All you're there for is to transport the shit home

There's really only two ways to successfully eBay: 1. Use the proxy bid system as it was intended. Figure out what the maximum you're willing to pay for an item is, enter the bid, and walk away. If you don't win, it was because someone else thought it was worth more than you did. Even if the end price was only a dollar more than you bid, it's still more. Plus, there's no way to know what the winning bidder's actual high bid was. It could have been that dollar, or a hundred more. Either way, it was more than you decided you were going to pay. 2. Snipe. Put in your bid in the last seconds of the auction, reducing the chance that someone can outbid you. Again, put in your max bid... you don't know the current bidder's high bid, and there's likely others trying to snipe as well if it's a popular item. There won't be time to bid again if you time it right. Whatever you do, never, ever, get into a bidding war. All that does is drive up the final price. There's always a bit of an adrenaline rush that goes along with any competition. Don't let it cloud your judgment. |

Did you ever receive confirmation that you're the high bidder? If not, then someone else has entered a higher max bid than you. If you WERE the high bidder, even if just for a minute, then you're either involved in a bidding war or the auction owner is shill bidding (bidding up his own auction using an alternate account/friends/etc).

Anybody else nab one of the Amazon 4-packs before they went extinct? I grabbed the Retaliation set mostly so I don't have to hunt for SS or the Commander.

I was going to get one set of each when I got home from work but at that time it was too late. Now waiting for them to restock, hopefully.

I'd be very surprised if they don't restock them.
