I didnt get a chance to hit Ross or TJMaxx, you might find something there. I'd like to find a couple of mechs.

There has never ever been anything in the Northern part of the state. Target in East Hanover, Target in Rockaway, Wal Mart in Rockaway, Wal Mart in Ledgewood, Toys R Us in Rockaway, Toys R Us Express in Rockaway--none of them have ever carried a single figure from waves 5 or 6.
I've stopped collecting modern 'Joes pretty much because of this. Just going to go back to getting vintage stuff that can easily be located on The Bay.

Today I got EXTREMELY lucky though and found a Shadow Tracker in the virtual sea of Arctic Destros that have been taking up peg space for the last 50 years...or so it seems. TRU in Totowa NJ. 1 left and I scored him. |

Yeah I for the 1st ever gave up and ordered a wave from bbts...don't get me wrong I'm gonna try for some troops @ retail but it just getting harder with each wave to nail down a complete set of each wave....I personally only saw the new IGs wave once and I bought them.
That having been said at least this way I have ONE of each. Kinda sucks I have to do things this way but I can't justify driving all around NJ and coming up empty on a daily basis...or even semi regular basis. |

I go online shortly after not being able to sight new waves with any regularity... which is to say I haven't bought a Joe at regular retail since Jungle Viper or Quick Kick. Ross is another story of course

The thing is as collectors we don,t mind a hunt or challenge, but this shit is becoming impossible, and Hasbro wonders why kids are not jumping into joe...I mean as a kid if I couldn't find half the figures I wanted I'd move on to something else as well.

Right, I honestly think part of the fun...a huge part actually was going out hunting for 25th.
Not since I was a kid did I see that beautiful card art on the pegs and this time there was no one telling me I could only pick one. The lack of distrubution around here is without a doubt killing that part of the "magic" that is collecting Joes. It's not 25th so I'm not hunting with the same "child like" enthusiasm as I was. I mean dont get me wrong I love POC, but like previously stated...Im not driving around NJ and burning 40.00 worth of gas, not to mention wear and tear on my 10 yr old Jeep to find a peg load of Arctic Destro. When 30th comes...maybe. For right now I hit a few spots, and maybe if I can do something when I'm on the road at work I'll try somewhere, but for the most part...check local TRU, local Target......log onto BBTS and be done with it. |

Rush hour toy run, holy smokes what a waste! Not that i expected anything different. No mechs at Ross, they did have one of those vehicles that comes with Dusty and a few mars trooper three packs. The TJ Maxx next door had a mole pod. I even stopped at Toys R Us, nothing of course.
