[QUOTE=Moses;578220]PitViper - Ever think of dio-stories? A bit more limited than drawn comics, but you likely have most of the raw materials. It just takes some imagination. Plus I have seen some fan comics - interesting, but the artwork always is second to the story - not many people have the time to do artwork on the scale a comic requires.
Yeah Im thinking of that too, I know it would be much easier. Im just such a nut about plot outline and story telling and those stories are pretty involved, I have to think of a way to capture the details with a dio. I found a Cobra Diver this morning at TRU in Livingston..seriously, I think TRU is starting to blow, I got the Diver and Blowtorch, they were the last of those figures..everything else was Dreadnocks and SE...and its the same thing at TRU in Totowa, Dreadnks central! Minus Zartan of course the only one I dont have and really want. |

I saw a couple Zartans at my local target (East Brunswick) this past week. Probably gone by now, although I figure that's out of your range.
Drawn comics or dio stories both need the same outlining/storyboarding. And Dio stories can have more limitations. But the concept of it makes me feel like I am doing something more with the Joes than simply collecting them. Sort of a way to 'play' with them creatively and share it with whomever wants to read. Now that the 25th line is about to go on hiatus and my hunting is nearly at a halt I may be able to try my hand at some dio-stories... |

I gotta tell ya Im bummed that the 25th is gonna go on hiatus, I got into it REALLY late..like literally only a month ago. So hunting for me is still exciting but its already slim pickins. Having said that though, as small as my 25th collection is, I already have them in..hmm..a "story arc" display I guess. I agree it is a way to "play" with them.

I found several DVD pack 5's, but not recently. There was one weekend Walmart stocked them and I happened across 2. I think I saw one last week - I tihnk Target in Woodbridge. I was just there an hour or so ago and only the POD and one of the earlier DVD packs, plus some W11 figures.

i picked up some Resolute and Joe and Cobra 5-packs today at WMs in Cherry Hill and Marlton. if anyone is collecting Marvel Universe 3.75" stuff, check out Cherry Hill WM. they are STOCKED! i've heard rumors that some places won't let you buy them yet, so this may be the case there. i didn't try it. just thought i'd pass on the info.

My search today, and keep in mind Im playing catch up..
TRU in Livingston, pegs were horrible, found a Cobra Diver and Blowtorch "hiding" behind some stuff, snatched that. Both my local KB's are done, Livingston Mall+West Caldwell Target-Fairfield, bought everything worth buying and the entire toy section is in shambles Wal-Mart-Butler, Nothing but CP's which Im not too fond of but bought the Mainframe/BH one the other nite. Target-Butler..this may be dated but I needed and wanted them both. Roadblock and The Shark w/Deep Six. The only other vehicle they had was the Firebat. They do have alot of those "Muggs"--I guess those are hot...I seriously think it might just "cheat" and catch up with BBTS...If I find a M.A.S.K, Croc Master, Serpentor, Flash and Zartan I'll be goin in the right direction |
