Did anyone get SDCC 12 inch Baroness or Destro 2 pack? Are they worth getting?

I am very frusterated.I live in the state next to you and it looks like Walmart has given up of GI Joe.It is now August 5th and All I am still seeing are the 12" Electronic Snake eyes and Storm Shadow,The Snake eyes role play set and the Combat heroes. Can anyone keep an eye out for the Tunnel Rat/Monkey wrentch for me over there. It looks like out Walmart will not be getting these.
Until recently our walmarts had jack for ROC stuff, with the exception of having the same stuff you are finding. It wasn't until today that I saw anything beyond wave 2 at walmart, so keep holding on to hope. Truth be told, once the movie releases, you may actually see some ROC stuff hit Walmart. At least I think you have better odds of it anyway. Most of the good ROC stuff I've seen has been at Target and TRU, with Target having the best selection. having said all of that, I don't know what the odds are for my Walmart getting the ROC exclusives. I'm interested in the Night Creeper and Shockblast pack and maybe Gung Ho and Copperhead (though I wish someone else I didn't already have was in that one with Gung Ho). But we'll keep an eye out as everyone is wanting to get those wallyworld exclusives.

The Destro 2pack is. Also worth it to get the faster shipping considering how many people have complained about the shipping/packaging quality or how long it's taken to get their orders in the threads on this site and some other boards.

Had to make a road trip to SC this morning/early afternoon. The TRU in anderson had 4 pit commandos (and the rest of wave 3)...now minus 4 pit commandos heh.
edit: also checked a few wal-mart's off i-85 during the trip...none had real sections set aside for Joes or what was out was the leftovers from that initial pallet of figures that a lucky few wal-marts got a few weeks back. Last edited by alcoholic ewok; 08-06-2009 at 10:07 PM.. |

Just 5 total...these cost too much to want to army build them like some of the 25th figures did.

Good point. Of course, if you were to find them at the TRU sale then it might be easier to justify picking up a gazillion of them. lol. I figured four was a good number since there are four different helmets/hats/etc with each one, I could have a trooper with each one on represented (well, that's when I actually open them), plus you could have a trooper with each gun in hand too. naturally that leaves bunches of extra accessories but still cool that we got that many with these figures. makes that price increase sting a little less.

Damn. I only have 8 pit commandos. 7 to go. :-) Stupid customs are sucking me in.
