Yeah the toy companies think they can get away for charging $13.00 bucks for a 6" figure - when they were $9.00 bucks a couple of years ago...too much dam greed if you ask me. These figure's cost pennies to make.

"Pennies" maybe but the cost of a brand new figure from the ground up is expensive - planning, sculpting, tooling, molding, painting, package design, package production, shipping, etc...
I dont mind paying $7 or $8 bucks for quality 3 3/4" scale figs or $12 to $15 for nice 6" figs. Times change....we will never see 3 3/4" below $7 ever again unless its on clearance and if you wait to buy toys then, you are helping to kill those lines by not supporting them at retail cost.

I might be going to the con, not sure. I've never been to it, are there any toy vendors there?
Anyway The Wal-Mart on Route 34 in Plano is one of the lucky ones getting POC. They had plenty of Dukes and few SS/SE and two Beacheads. They had some of the vehicles and also had some cheap looking SS/SE masks that I haven't seen before. I don't know if these are new or just ROC stuff with POC labels. They had plenty of the new Transformers and Star Wars stuff. If you are trying to find something rare and are in the area, it may be worth it to stop there. |
