I had to bow out of the Allen show on the 22nd. I can't get the day off at Target and my parents are in town. I'll TRY and swing by though and say hello. No guarantees. I'll do the Oct JMV show and will find out more about the re-named Great Texas Joe show to see if I can set-up there with all my stuff.

Yes, it is where they hold their meetings. I haven't made on at the new location since they changed it from moving from place to place each month. I used to host them once a year at my place in FW to give a casting or mold-making demo. I feel guilty about not being more present at the monthly meetings. The 3 3/4 guys need to show up locally.
I'd assume since Keith seems to be running things at the moment, and this was short notice, that the church gym or a meeting hall of some sort will be holding the event. I did find out that tables are only $25 each, and that there appears to be no limit to how many you can purchase. I am in for two, maybe three. I expect the crowd to be okay, but it would really help if some of you local guys who always say their going to make it, and never do actually showed at this one. Bodies (even ones without wallets) count for a lot at this kind of small (but growing) event. |

They should be able to promote the hell out of it being free to the public once more details are finalized (displays, custom contests, etc). It's an easy story to get some interest from the local papers and possibly other media.

I went to Dallas Vintage Toys this morning. My first visit to that store. I recommend it. Very nice staff and a huge selection of cool stuff. I went through a bunch of vintage Joes that had just arrived this morning. Several loose complete including file cards. It's worth checking out.

I think I need to invest in a digital camera so I can start taking pics again :/ anyway....since Thursday, I picked up the Hall of Heroes Zartan and Star Wars Vintage Collection Nom Anor(?) from Hastings that I mentioned the other day, yesterday evening I grabbed Dragon Age Origins Morrigan from another Hastings (finally), grabbed GI Joe Series 2 Season 2 from Wal-Mart, went to a Target and grabbed Kre-O Sideswipe, Kre-O Prowl, and Kre-O Mirage on clearance (neither one was over $10), then today I grabbed all 4 turtles from the new show from TrU (Mike, Don, Leo, and Ralph) and broke down and bought FoC Jazz and FoC Shockwave from TrU as well.

For anyone that reads comics, I listed several Marvel TPBs along with some Star Wars and G.I. Joe: Cobra series comics on eBay tonight. I hated to part with these but due to my growing collection of figures I'm forcing myself to buy digital comics and some of these had to go to free up space.
Some really good reads. As far as sightings go, I checked 2 TRUs today hoping to find anything good enough to take advantage of the $7 sale. They were wiped out. Very unsuccessful?

Last night I ordered BBTS Dreadnoks online. Thinking about getting some more Dreadnoks to go with them, since I have HoH Zartan now. May have to grab Zarana one day as well from somewhere.
