I thought they'll still have classic ARAH 25th stuff peppered in there with the Resolute and Movie stuff. Just as long as they scale back a bit it'll give me some time for my wallet to recover, I'm fine with that. Hasbro said they'd eventually move back into 25th as we know it once the movie hype is over. They did that with the Transformers Classics line, so at least there's precedence set for that.

Well, Thunder (released as Thunderblast) is coming with a new Armadillo (re-named the Panther). Also Motor Viper is being released with the Cobra SUV (that doesn't look too bad). There should be a few more regular Joes mixed in with movie stuff.
I am going to see ROC opening week, but I will go in reverting back to a non-skeptical 11 year old (my age in 1982) to take it all in. If the movie is good, it will blow me away. If the movie sucks, I'll still enjoy the hot chicks and Ninjas. Anyone want to schedule a HISS Tank goes to the movies night when it opens?

Thunder's cool as he is but I have a feeling we might get a properly redone Moto-Viper later on. It LOOKS like a Strato-Viper with the new movie Night Raven but they've already shown us a real Strato-Viper, you know what I mean?
Edit: And I might be down for a Tanker movie watch, depending on where it is. It was pulling teeth getting the wife to watch Transformers. Last edited by solid_strider; 02-12-2009 at 12:49 PM.. |

Hey guys and gals, Here is a message I send out on a very special day to all my friends...
Today, Friday the 13th is National Drew Day. What is Drew Day you ask? Let me explain... (Briefly) History: Drew Kremer was born on Weds Jan 13th, 1971. In 1984 he celebrated his 13th Birthday on, coincidently, Friday the 13th. That just happened to be one of the best days in his life. So Drew always looked forward to Friday the 13th from then on... Any Friday the 13th. "I don't get where you are going with this." Well, now that I'm older in years (never at heart) I realized that too many people don't spend enough time doing things they enjoy on simpler levels. So for myself, I like to take time every Friday the 13th (they usually occur twice a year) to do something I enjoy on a simpler level. I either watch one of my favorite movies (usually not Star Wars as I watch them already as often as I can, but more like Ferris Bueller's Day Off or Predator. Movies which require no brain power but are so much fun), or I play a few of my video games, browse through a section of my Star Wars collection I haven't seen in a long time, read a few old comic books, etc. You get the idea. Oh and I also treat myself to an uber dessert after dinner (like a MONSTER Banana Split). "Ok, But what does this have to do with me?" Now that you know what I like to do on Drew Day, I would like to encourage you to do the same. My boss at Nortel loved to watch Fantasia, so I recommended she watch it on Drew Day to pamper herself. She loved the idea. I have told a few others about this calendar event I observe and it seems to have gone over well towards their participation. So, when you get off work today, or after you put the kids to bed, whatever the case, do something for yourself that puts a smile on your face. Anything. Just have fun. Who cares if I call it Drew Day. Call it "You Day". Celebrate yourself and the things that make you happy. Don't be selfish or greedy in your observance, just make sure it's fun and it won't hurt anyone else's feelings, otherwise the point of the day is ruined. Thanks for listening, and have a Drew Day!!!! Drew Your friendly neighborhood weird guy. "as long as you smiled, that's all that matters." |

So anyone other than snakeeyes1976 find the new dvd packs? I've been looking, but haven't seen them at all. Also still no sign of the new Target jets or 5 packs.
Just wondering...but had anyone found the black masked cobra troops that everyone keeps talking about? All I ever seem to find are the red masked. Heck as far as wave 12 goes all I ever find are Ripper and the red masked troop.

And I've seen a Dirtbag....Landmine..whatever his name is(the dude with the mines) ONCE! I've never seen any of the other Wave 12 at retail. Help! And there's supposed to be a Wave 12 Trooper variant? I know I'll never see them....:(

I have a feeling waves 11-13 and revision cases will be hitting stores in the coming months as I don't think we'll see any new single waves until the movie toys hit.

Found the new Cobra and Joe 5-packs today at the Toys R Us on Macarthur and 635 in Valley Ranch. Compared to the previous 5-packs, the packaging is super humble. Instead of the nice thick cardboard and colorful box art of the old sets, the new ones are made of super thin cardboard and come in a really generic looking box. Lifting the front flap was like peeling a banana, that's how flimsy it felt. They also had quite a few of the new DVD pack as well, but they didn't float my boat either. Oh well, all I'm really interested in now are the two 7-packs that were announced.

I wished I could get my hands on the new 5-packs. I guess they will be here sometime in my lifetime!
