Because it breaks down to design team. I think there was even a Q&A or Panel when the Cap & Thor lines were shown off where Hasbro suggested they prefer the ball joint over the classic t-bar as they're harder to break. Yet the fans want the t-bar.
Cyclops, Cable, SDCC Cap (and repaint Battlefield Cap) all feature MU's new articulation, but it makes the figures a little too loose to work with at times. I like getting almost Microman level articulation, but Hasbro figures can't do the insane poses & balance a Microman can.

I don't mind the ball joint as long as they use a friggin' 90 degree angle! Just have the post conect at the center with a swivel joint and that's it!

Started bagging up my vintage collection today to help the organization I am in the process of doing.. I have been cataloging all of my ME figures on Excel for the past few weeks and thought I might as well do the same to my vintage collection.
While doing this, I started thinking with times being as hard as they are for me (for those of you unaware there was some tornado damage at my house from the outbreak a few weeks ago.) I have been kicking the idea of selling my vintage figures to help cushion some of my expenses.. I have a few rare items, but nothing super crazy.. The star of my vintage collection would be my Carded Short Fuse from 82". the bubble is still in perfect condition as well as the figure. part of the logo is missing from where someone peeled off the original price tag prior to be getting it and there is a piece of scotch tape along the back for some reason, but all in all it is in great shape for as old as it is. I also have several of the Night Force Figures.. I do believe they are complete.. one of the other task I get to endure later this week.. separating all of the weapons in one back and putting them with the right figures. So what are some of your thoughts? Should I sell them or keep them?

You'll enjoy the money you will get from them but kick your self for selling them in the future. I guess if you have to get rid of them, then you should give it some real thought. Keep the awesome stuff and sell the stuff your not gonna miss too very much.

I could never let my vintage Joes go. I dd it before and now regret it fully. Especially now that I have a few figs I never had before and that some have come from very good friends which cause an extreme emotional attachment to them.

I had planned on keeping the ones that I have an emotional attachment to. Which is my 82 - 86 figures.. Just was debating on selling everything else..
My ME collection has gotten a lot bigger than my vintage ever was.. even after selling some of them off. Last count on ME was in the 2000 figure range.. bagging every figure with all their accessories was a pain. My BAT collection makes up a 1/16 of that number. Last count with the new Jungle BATs is at 201. LOL

I try not to keep buying them, but you know how when you go in somewhere hoping to see something new, but instead you find either empty pegs or peg warmers no one wants.. Then I go into a Marshalls or TJMaxx.. and there on a peg sits a BAT... So to not come home empty handed.. I pick up that one figure.. and I did that a lot during the ROC period.. LOL
Haven't seen any BATs in the wild for awhile. All of the Jungle BATs I have gotten were from people on here helping me out. Just wish they would help me out with a few more Steel Brigade and Cobra Troops. LOL

Well Magick if you need to get rid of those 1987 and up vintage figures... let me know. I am trying to collect figures up to 1991. Why.... I am not quite sure yet.

The last thing you want to do is part with something now and then just buy it all over again later! My advice is to trade what you can and sell the rest once you've decided what to get rid of that is. It's tough because you know what you have to do. It's just finding what you can live without or not lose sleep over. Best of luck to you! Look on the bright side, hard times come and go. We have all been there!
