These last three pics are of items belonging to my buddy the Toymenator. It doesn't show, but he had tubs of stuff just under the edge of his table as well as what's shown here. |

Are you doing sweeping motions with the spray paint for light, but multiple layers? I'll hold the can away about 4 or 5 feet and sweep over the parts from each side. Repeat every couple of hours as each layer dries. Once I'm happy enough, I'll let it dry for 24 to 36 hours before I pick it up too look over. Repeat as needed.
I dunno really its hard to explain if your not watching. I don't do 4-5 sweeps though so maybe thats my problem, just seems like it would get too thick or maybe i am not far enough away from it. Will try that I guess. The paint seems to be sputtering at times and it seem sto put small dots at times accross the body. DO you stand even with the item or is it on the ground an dyou stand over it or proped up along a wall or? It also coul dhave been due to the time frame in the colder air in my garage with the garage door closed back this last december/janaury when I tried ot paint it. Since the striker is all fubard should I redo it with grey primer then repaint it? I dunno how I can salvage it at this point, its mostly the wings that are the problem. Was thinking about hitting it with krylon fusion grey pimer then hitting with krylon fusion white just to see if it would come back to life. |

You could try removing the excess paint first with acetone nail polisher remover and then go with the Krylon grey primer and finally white.

It's too bad WWII Ultimate Cap was a SDCC exclusive, I'd get a few extras for customs now that I have one to play with. Some of the better modeling work.
