To each their own. The card is amusing, but the boxed version will have Silver Surfer. Probably another slightly different version of the figure. If they want to impress me, make him chrome like the 6" version.

I just think it's cool he so freaking big and carded like a regular fig lol I dont think that has ever been done like that before. I guess it's not a good idea to start MOCing these Marvel figures. I am not that fond of them. I just really really really like Galactus haha.

So, will this variant be at retail randomly packaged? Or is this SDCC only?

Retail. You can see the figure in the box so it's not like you'll be surprised when you open it, at least. I'm sure some people won't want the variant because Galactus is pretty iconic in his brighter purple threads.

My Target put the Alphas out today. They had I think 4 pegs for POC, and they're asking $6.99 a fig for these guys but the pegs were still empty. Alphas were $14.99.
I picked up a DCIH fig I kind of wanted and the Death Archangel fig for trade bait and left the rest behind. |

Went to the Allen TRU this morning and my eyes almost popped out of my head when I saw the brand new, gigantic, 2010 SW AT-AT sitting on the shelf. I immediately picked it up, took it to the register, used my 20% off coupon, and now it's alllllllllllll mine.
It's sitting in the middle of the floor in my office at home still in box. It's just staring at me... or maybe I am just staring at it. =) My wife is going to kill me when she sees what I bought today! LOL Totally worth it though, as I have wanted an AT-AT since the early 80s when I first saw Empire in the theaters. |

Nice haul man! I picked up the last Spirit and Quick Kick from Park Lane TRU, but I'm going to hold onto Spirit for a bit in case I find one with a better paint job. The one I got has some bugged out eyes. Thanks to the Tankers who PM'd me, good looking out guys!
