....hmmm A few people have suggested that they might like to see my collection sometime in the near future...
I will "try" to make that happen - but I can't promise anything and I don't know when that would be. Normally, I have so many Joe projects going on (sortings, repairs, diorama buildups and takedowns, etc) that floors all over the house are almost impassable... I first opened up my home during DFW (Master Collector affiliated) GI Joe club meet a year or so ago - and then again during the International GI Joe Club convention this past summer - and then yesterday. But I am not sure when I will be able to do it again (it takes weeks of preparation - clearing out, finishing off projects - or coming to a good stopping point, and generally trying to make walking through the house to be NOT a major obstacle course :-) Normally, I try to just hole up and keep trudging on so that I can get this book published by next year... So, that means very soon, my house becomes my "workroom" again...and in that state, it is then hard to show people around (I am very lucky to have a VERY patient and supportive family :-) Thanks guys, for your understanding! Take care all, Aire |

Aire..if you ever need a hand with anything or even wanting to make sure on reports, I would be more than happy to help out.
Much like the release of the Fixed arm Clutch, Steeler and Breaker vehicle packs. I have my contacts trying to find out a definitive answer to the Snow Hiss and Vamp being taken off preorders.. i will post what I find on here.

Magick, hi! Quick question, if I may.
You mentioned a variation in 3 of the vehicle drivers... (fixed articulation?) After talking with you yesterday, I picked up sets with Clutch and Steeler, but could not find any differences when comparing them to the ones I got at the beginning of the run earlier this year. I probably bought non-fixed sets... Could you point me to a site that has a picture of the differences so that I know what to look for? Thanks! And thanks SO MUCH for letting me know to start looking!!! Take care, Aire |

Thanks so much for the offer! I just may take you up on that! (my eyes glaze over sometimes :-) And multiple pairs of eyes are always better, anyway!!! Also - ANY info is ALWAYS welcome!!!!! Thanks again for the heads up about the drivers!!! Any other figures like that (from the single packs or the comic packs)??? I think I have all the revised crotch figures, and all the holes and no holes, but I am not at all sure about fixed arms.. THANKS!!! |

It's not like you were going to give it to me or anything. LOL You were just going to tease me. :(
Edit: DAMN! Mere seconds after I posted that and realized that sounded so wrong....

I had a great time at the meet and greet. As much as I wanted someone else to go home with the HISS (not thinking about my son at the time), I will admit Andy loves it. I gave him the Destro from the Breaker comic pack to be the gunner. Thanks to crockmaster for the Breaker he gave Andy. Now Andy is bugging me for something the "good guy" can use to fight the bad guys. I think his addiction has started. Many thanks to Aire for not only putting on the M&G, but for the generosity.
Magick and Nirvana, you guys showed some great stuff! Your customs are definitely inspiring. I just need to decide on which figure I want to make first and then start working on the recipe. I may tap Magick for help getting parts (this will give me a chance to inspect the fleet at his place when picking up parts, if he's up to it). I'm always afraid to make a custom of a favorite figure not done yet because Hasbro may have it on tap soon. I'll probably try and make something like Billy or Cool Breeze - LOL! Maybe Kwinn is possible with the right parts. As for my knowledge of the comics, if anyone needs a copy of my resource (the thing I mentioned at the M&G), let me know. I also have cartoon resources too that I don't mind sharing. For those looking for stuff in the area, mostly older stuff, let me know what you need and the price you are willing to spend. I'll see if I got a deal on something that I can pass on to you. Can't wait for the next M&G. I'll try to bring some old school stuff to share (colorforms?)

Finally found the "Vintage" 12 inch figures at Wal Mart. They look good. Had to check the tape on each box though, most had been opened..I guess to check hair Color etc...Hopefully not to snag Hats or the like.
They were not in the "Display" box that we were shown at JoeCon..more like shoved on a shelf... They had the Accessory packs for them as well. |

I spotted the vintage 12" figures Friday at WM on Frankford (forgot to mention them). They had two full boxes with 4 rows each of the figures and two rows of uniforms. Didn't WM carry these last year? I seem to remember seeing them when passing through TN.
