Yeah I have 2 of each viper, went with 3 for the Crimson ones in case I want to try a mod of one but have not found a suitable combo that looks any better then the turtle viper look. I want some of the green nano-viper one's to paint up with some gold accents to be Serpentors elite. All of these vipers are not cobra focres for me, they are the fighting army for Serpentor in my world. The normal Elite Vipers and more human looking commandos are the new MARS troopers since cobra is in the back shadows in all of these even though they blaze on with cobra sigils on some of them. I noticed the Crimson Turtle vipers sigil is on his left arm and not his right as the card art shows, thought that was nice they did that.

Have you tried a (classic) Viper jacket or Model Master's Clear Red with black washing on the Pit Viper chest armor?

No good at/understand this black washing concept you reference when I try it it ends up eating off my under coat paint or not wahsing over it right for some reason, so no I have not tried that. I have tried a classic viper vest but don't like the way it looks really. Mixing Elite Viper body armor and Turtle vipers is what I did with my Night Viper, but I am not buidling custom figures into armys LOL I make one and that is all there is ever going to be.
Ultimatley I think Reso Scarlett is my last one. There is just no more room left plus they look to be making a few last ones that were not 25th figures to finsih up the line (liek charbroil and a few kitbash vipers, they need to get off thier asses and make real vipers). Another one of my custom display cabinets will run me another $200 bucks whci I don;t wanna have to get yet but I have to get these guys up and away from my kids err mean cats Also think I am going to take all the extra craptastic plastic missile launchers, go find a recycling hippy commune and show it to them and then litter the street with them all and say "look what hasbro has done to your landfills! And watch them get the torches and pich forks out haha.

You can't black wash over something you've also painted with acrylic, unless you sealed the layer before black washing. Instead you would dry brush over the layer gently that you've already coated.
Black washing isn't very hard. Take a small section (unless you're pretty good, then you can coat as much as you want), paint it completely black in Flat Black. Wait 20 to 30 seconds and then using a paper towel rub off the black. Gently if you only want to take a little, roughly (like the Cobra Commander chest) to take off a lot. Layer as needed until you get the desired effect. http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...rgo-truck.html The Indy turned Cobra Truck's canopy I did last year is a great example of multiple layers of black washing to make the look work. The rust seen around the entire truck would be a good example of dry brushing.

These are more examples of dry brushing.
Lightly dip the end of the brush into the paint and then paint a piece of paper (I use the newspaper I'm working on) to get the bulk of the paint off the brush. When you're getting light streaks, turn the brush to the figure and again lightly brush over the figure. Repeat to layer it as needed.

Allen got the same. I grabbed a couple, but mostly went for the older fodder figures. The Target next door had the Rex/PP Baroness case. I'm all caught up. Hopefully Snow was able to get the Elite, Helix, and others he wanted.
Arctic SS looks really dumb.
