I can't imagine anyone being able to make a living strictly by marking up toys. Even if each toy was sold for double what they paid, the overhead (gas, etc) would eat away at any potential huge profit. They must be supplementing income with this, not eating and paying rent.

I have fond memories of Fedco french fries. I would always make my parents stop at the cafeteria on the way out at the Pasadena store, which is now a Target. Gemco was also cool store, back in those days, but my favorite was BEST because each year they put out the Best Products Catalogue with a page dedicated to every major toy line. The figures/vehicles would be posed in dioramas to entice you to buy them.

OK...
To the mother-fucking, douche bag-eating, ass-hat wearing, cock-sucking repacker that lives in the Victor Valley: I saw your handy work this morning at the Victorville Wal*Mart. Green Lantern Classics wave one were all purchased, then returned with all the figures swapped out for older DCUC figures, and all the build-a-figure parts removed. You better hope I never see you, because I will kick the shit out of you (or look at you threateningly if you're bigger than me... I am a realist). Fuck you. I hope that the fleas of one thousand camels infest your nut-sack, and that your arms are to short to scratch it. Asshole. Rant over. I did find the complete set at Wal*Mart in Highland about an hour later, so it eased my frustration a little. So I spent my lunch opening them all and building Arkillo... then placed them all on my desk at work! Fun! |
