That Mountain View Wal-Mart is the worst Wal-Mart I've ever been to. Their selection of anything, toys or otherwise, is terrible. It's like some third world street market in there. And I agree, especially at this store, don't bother asking anything because the sales associates rarely speak English. I get if the stock people don't speak perfect English, but come on, they barely understand simple questions.
"No" is their favorite answer because it makes you stop asking questions. Or they send you to the price scanner, like they've done nearly every time I ask a question. So I gave up on that location, I rarely stop if at all. I found the Walmart at Blossom Hill to be pretty good about answering questions. Oh and went to Story Rd. Walmart last night - they had bupkis for new stuff (city strike, jungle assault, etc.) and their battle stations all seemed to be damaged or someone has stolen one of the action figures from the set. |

I just went to the Milpitas Walmart and they are stacking loads of toys on their pegs/shelves. Nothing new but talk about overloading them. At one point I see some figures from the Walmart exclusive Marvel Legends Ares and Nemesis build a figure line. I bet you they had these in the back like forever. Now they're trying to get everything out cause of the holidays. lol.
I did see one Animated Freeway Jazz though. Didn't snatch it up. |

Hey North Bay Tankers! Not sure if this is the right area to post this, but do any of ya'll know which dollar/bargain stores to go to in the 408/510/650 area for 25th Anniversary, VvV, etc? I've been hearing people find alot of old stuff at these dollar/bargain stores, but they're in different states. Any help is greatly appreciated! And if this is in the wrong area to ask, mods please move this post to the right forum!

The plan was to stop by a few Wal-Marts on the way back from Sonoma this weekend as we toured down the East Bay, but after stopping at the first one—which I reluctantly entered after spending a good 10 minutes circling for a spot, and dodging moron drivers—I scored two CS Snake Eyes, an Arctic SE and the MW/TR 2-pack (the 2-pack for parts) and the single figures were still $5 each.
It was the Oakland WM at Hegenberger, and there were at least 3 more CS SEs there. Dear God, is that the most ghetto WM I've ever been to. At least the store had a decent stock, but dear God, it blew the Mountain View Wal-Mart out of the runnings for shittiest crowd ever. We also stopped at the Hesperian exit in San Leandra (I think?) and the lot was so small and the crowd circling the lot was so long, we gave up. It wasn't worth the fight looking for the exclusive battle stations to warrant another brainfuck at a Wal-Mart. Is this the Castro Valley WM? It had the new signage, unlike the older store signage at Hegenberger. There were at least 2 other WMs (I think 3) that we passed by because we missed the exit, but I wasn't about to turn back. We took the Dumbarton Bridge, so I think Union City was the last one? Hope that helps some folks... If anyone's spotted the exclusive playsets, I may venture back to the East Bay. Otherwise, I'll just keep ignoring my one shitty "Peninsula" WM in Mountain View. |

the only east bay Wallys that's decent for me...would be the one at Union City and the Fremont stores.
the last time i visited Hegenberger was like more than a year ago, around 25th anniv time. San Leandro?!? please don't get me started, not even worth it. that's why i don't drive farther out of my area. eventually i'll get the stuff that i need later on. a month or two sounds ok. besides, it's the holidays. c'mon. the crowd is a lot worst than a poultry farm or something.
