arah was sweet, but they even fucked that up, and in true fashion made the same mistakes which went toward largely ruining the new line. |

Ran to Columbia on my lunch, hoping to grab some Retaliation figures at TRU since apparently the order went out to stock the shelves...no such luck. Only Retailiation stuff was the motorcycles and a 12" Snake Eyes. They did have about 50 pegs of Iron Man 2/Thor movie figures though *eye roll*
Target was well stocked on Marvel stuff, but nothing new. Target in Laurel has half of the action figure isle cleared with signs that the reset is coming. Pegs were for Spider-Man and Dark Knight...no other new stock (no surprise). |

not just the movie bro, fer fuck sake, no articulation, back to spring weapons, no stands, and DG distron=bution is horrid not to mention NOTHING worth a SHIT ever avaialable on the companies very own website. they SUCK, i'll still buy the rare offerings remotely worth a damn, but they are far and few and even then i customize the damn things to improve on what could have easily been factory. stop making excuses for this short sighted soulless corporation, i love GI Joe but i have only an abundance of nerd rage for hasbro because they just dont deliver.
arah was sweet, but they even fucked that up, and in true fashion made the same mistakes which went toward largely ruining the new line. I can understand the appeal towards kids but just doesn't work for today. Renegades, Rise Of Cobra and now Retaliation have failed at grasping kids interests while PoC, the least distributed Joe brand in many years sold exceptionally well only leaving behind Arctic Destros because it was a RoC figure being passed off as something new. I think kids won't come around until they place a damn cartoon on air that will remain on that station for some years. As far as distribution, Hasbro will royally F&*# themselves if they do not release the entire toyline for Retaliation as originally planned. Retailers are expecting new Joe product Monday and have placed it on their automatic re-order method on their systems. For this to suddenly be discontinued just like Marvel Legends and Star Wars Vintage makes Hasbro appear to be too much a risk, which is a vendor that cannot meet retailer expectations and customer demand. For half of the year to be up and stores look just as barren as they did before Christmas is a bad sign.

I still would like a bunch of red ninjas, but wasn't dying for anything else from the Retaliation line.
Getting kind of sick of the idea of army builders (from all properties) being one per case. And the lack of sales on figures. If they're going to raise the price, can we at least get a few more BOGO 1/2 off sales? |

not entirely retarded. they do not place their own store above retailers in a sense. this happens all the time. if they offered everything that easily on their own site, it reduces the need for retailers to carry product in stores or online. some manuf. don't even have online shops for this reason. in the hobby world, this type of stuff killed hobby shops as they could not compete with the manufacturer online sales. especially so if the manuf. undercut the retailer price. as a consumer it sucks. as a business, it's a model that has always been around. i think were lucky to see what we do on hasbro's shop.
