I bid a sad adieu to the Joes long after they showed that shitty movie line up months ago. I did not need to see those attrocities 1st hand to make up my mind.
MOTU got thrown in the garbage as soon as I got my hands on my 1st Joe in '87. You can't fuck with the level of articulation and playability those figs and sets had and still have! Fast fwd to now and I can't believe these assholes at Hasbro take one of the important aspects of the toyline and just disregard it and try to sell me those duds like is 1977 with laughable articulation. No f'ng way! As much as I hate ROC some cool stuff came out of that ie RHINO. With this new line I will be buying 0 product. The Night Viper will never see greenlight and probably will be sold in the Asia market only and to be honest you know we will only see W1 and W2. Looking at you Capt America, Iron Man etc. Looks like Transformers may have to keep me calmed. Back to Classics and Classics 2.0 So long Joes. Hope your new incarnation is better than this attrocity!

that's really cool man. have to imagine your toy run days are getting far & few w/ the kid now. very cool they were appreciative and considerate of the hobby...
I'm personally really disappointed in the movie line, but kinda ok in the break since ML is really heating up w/ some stellar offerings. I just started the later waves of Marvel Select, and they are just pure fantastic! Cannot believe the attention to detail and sculpting, they just look great. The Red Ninja is a good showing from Retaliation, as is the Ninja Showdown 3-pack (SE is about a C+ to a B-, Stormshadow a solid B-, and Slice is an A-).. I do like the new ball-joint in the foot, and I'm very happy the wrist articulation looks like it is here to stay.

I was at Target this weekend and I asked about the Marvel Legend issue. The product is temporarily discontinued by the vendor. This is why they can't place orders for them anywhere we go. WTF is going at Hasbro? They screw up a classic line like Joe and prices are at $10.99 a figure without a figure stand and less articulation. They discontinue shipping Marvel Universe assortments until later on in the year in favor of the Avengers which hasn't been restocked since launch. They continue to make these atrocious looking incarnations of Transformers instead of continuing Classics/RtS/WfC. Also, they get us all hyped for the return of Marvel Legends and don't even bother to produce enough of the first two waves for retailers to purchase? They must not give a flying monkey's ass about action figures anymore. Its cool, I can save my dollars until next year.....

I used to work in Columbia for the last 10 years so I used to hit both areas. Always had good luck in Columbia but based on all the messages on the board I am kind of glad I got out of the Columbia area. Now my toy trip are all very local which saves dramatically on gas.

I always had fairly good luck in Columbia as well when I lived there.

Saw boxes for the new spiderman toys and batman toys last night at the super off 97, but looks like they didn't make the shelf yet.

All the new Spiderman toys have T-crotches. I swear I can't understand what in the hell is the thought process at Hasbro for making these summer toys buy the majority of it looks like overpriced happy meal toys...... As for the Columbia area, its great when Walmart, Target and TRU do there seasonal reset for toys. Just this last year the offerings have been least than stellar.
