I actually can't believe some of you are excited about what Hasbro is offering. Those retaliation toys are duds compared to previous lines. Especially POC. To be satisfied with those designs and lack of articulation is not doing the brand any service. Sure, sure they are for kids, keep thinking that.

in the last couple days I hit 2 Dollar Generals, both on Belair Rd... one in the city in the Woodlea area, the other in the county in Perry Hall at Silver spring rd where The Harp is... both yielded nothing... very disappointing as the 2nd one is a brand new DG opening up only 2 weeks ago tops

this new line looks really spotty. I am mostly out on the vehicles, exception being that blue Vamp, which is only in because the Arashikage symbol is a sticker... T-crotch / 5-point articulation on a Joe? Like 2002 all over again.. Ahg.

same. never thought I'd see the day when I would be cherry picking a GI JOE line... I bought almost everything from ROC, and am still pretty happy w/ that line, but this....

I will admit I like the color pallet of Retaliation much more than ROC but still I am going to be very careful in what I pick up. Oh and file cards.... Dont get me started on file cards.

I've made peace with knowing I'll never own these as long as they are DG exclusives. It really baffles my brain that Hasbro didn't do more to market these to dollar store retailers like 5 below and Family Dollar, which cover much more ground in every state. Ordered the SE/SS ninja pack online and I'll skip anything including Rockblock as much as I can. Quote:

Yeah as much as ROC was rushed and confusing you could see that they wanted it to be 1985 again. Too bad everything was black and such dull colors.

I can wait it out since TRU will most likely have a 2 for $11 sale later on this year. This line will go stale by November with CC and Duke collecting dust. No problem, until retailers change their thoughts on what a vendor should make for kids, access stock will get sold to secondary discounters and marked down for a cheaper price. Because of that, in 2013 you will be able to find most of this line at:

I wasn't aware that it was firm that these were only shipping to Dollar Generals and no where else. Where's that been established?

There's been no word otherwise. It's been confirmed that these will be showing up at Dollar General specifically while others on these boards have checked stores like Family Dollar which assured the customer that they have no plans in selling Joe product for this year.

Ran to Walmart, Target and Family Dollar in Laurel...nothing to report. Really hoping other dollar stores start getting the exclusive wave in. Seems like we're all looking for multiples.

agreed w/ Blackman. The DG figs are great, but they are not enough to make me drive 20 miles for maybe a hope of catching one. I'll buy a case for 1.5x the price on ebay and be happy with that.
