I went to Super WM today and DAMN those pegs were really depleted. I'm really surprised that all those wave 1 and 2 figures sold like that. There were several pegs with literally only 1 figure on it. I swear I was there less than 2 weeks ago and those pegs were full. I guess this is good news so maybe now they can start puttin some newer waves out. Vehicles though are still shelf warming.

I stopped by my local Target and the figs were not even restocked. Same assortment. I guess in hopes of selling the pegwarmers but to no avail they still there.

For anyone in the military the PX in Fort Meade had 2 CS SE, 2 Jungle Ripcords, 1 Desert Viper, 1 Arctic Threat SS and 2 Pit Commandos. No CS Duke though. Passed on all of them, only one i need is CS Duke and sadly they didn't have it. Price was $8.85. Doesn't look like any of them will be disappearing anytime soon.
Edit: Forgot to mention there were also a bunch of 25th Wave 13 figures at the PX, such as Flamethrower, Resolute Duke, Resolute Cobra Commander, etc. Last edited by richyungsociety; 11-27-2009 at 08:57 PM.. |

Sinclair KMart had some Desert Vipers and Jungle Assault Ripcord on Wednesday night. Hit several WalMarts, Targets and KMarts and, as someone mentioned before, a LOT of pegwarmers were bought up. Black Friday shoppers just snapping stuff up. Only place I didn't really see this was Towson Target which didn't even look like they restocked the pegs before opening.

Bought City Strike Snake Eyes from Walgreens down here on Victory Blvd. (Rt.17) in Newport News, VA yesterday. Maryland and this part of VA bought suffer from poor distribution. No Walmart, Toys R Us or Target has waves 4-5 but Big Kmart and Walgreens have them in stock with a hefty inflated price. I figured I should by it now and save myself the headache of looking for one over and over again.

I really only wanted this figure from what I've seen being released as a whole this remaining year til next summer. I don't need to spend anymore time going from Silver Spring to Bethesda to Rockville to College Park to Columbia to Arundel Mills to Baltimore County to White Marsh to Cockeysville for one figure.

i remember those days... driving for up to 4 hours scouring stores for joes. that stopped when the modern era stopper for me. to this day, i still only have 2 roc figures. still haven't picked up the battle stations or snake armour although i want to. just not very motivated to go out anymore for joes.
i did find about a dozen of the tru snow serpents some time ago at gaithersburg tru and i really wanted this guy and still ended up leaving without him. i'd like to get the corba island 7 packs as well but it's hard to shell out that kind of money for joes now that i've not been joe hunting/buying for a long time. i didn't think twice about buying multiple rattlers but now i look at them and all i always find myself asking, are these really worth the money? 95% of the time the answer for me is no. i guess i lost the fire for joes with the end of the modern era line. atleast i'm not just another joe guy you have to contend with for hunting.

Saw the Battle stations and could not pull the trigger either. I missed the days of being able to find Eels or BATS in the pegs. Now I only find ROC (Rise Of Crap).
