Its a nice lil' figure. I tell ya, Kohls is the place to go for any figures from waves 1-3. Their regular prices are a ripoff, but they offer so many discounts that you can stack (20% off action figures, $5 coupon, and an extra 15% off Friends & Family event). I'm going back there tomorrow to finally get a Helix. Shouldn't cost any more than $0.99 plus tax. (Hint: Kmart has a sale on figures starting tomorrow for $5.99, get Kohls to do a price match and then use a $5 Kohls coupon) So anybody complaining about the prices, stop complaining and take action. If you think retailers are screwing you over, just think of ways to screw them back. And if you think $0.99 is still too much for an action figure, then get out the game. Incidentally, Ollie's in Columbia has restocked on GI Joe - they've got all of the second wave of TRU exclusives again, if anyone needs them. I believe it's $9.99 for the Crimson Guard and Firefly vs. Greenshirts packs, $7.99 for the IG, Sea and Air SRO packs.

I'm on Kohl's mailing list, and I never see these coupons. Do you need to have their credit card?

I believe it's $9.99 for the Crimson Guard and Firefly vs. Greenshirts packs, $7.99 for the IG, Sea and Air SRO packs. The friends & family coupon wasn't emailed, I found it on fatwallet.com. It looked like this: FYI: I did get my Helix today for $0.99, but it took a lil' work this time. Reason being when i went to do the price match there was some confusion since the Kmart ad for $5.99 3 3/4" figures doesn't actually show a picture but was only in fine print. Had to explain to an mgr. that the 3 3/4" figures mentioned in the ad are the single carded figures at the store. Also picked up Artic Threat SS, Jungle Ripcord, and Desert Viper at Sears Grand for $5.99 each. I mentioned seeing these a few days ago in this thread. I went back today and surprisingly they were all still there for the new sale price. Only disappointing thing was NO City Strike SE. That would've made my day Last edited by richyungsociety; 10-26-2009 at 12:12 AM.. |

wow... is that the selection at all Kohls? I have yet to see a Helix in store. I usually hit Perry Hall Wal Mart, Towson Place Target, WalMart, Kmart Bel Air Rd and Joppa rd. They all have your basic peg warmers. Saw some more stuff at Perry Hall WalMart... which does have the price at $6/fig. Sawa few Paris Pursuit Baroness there... quite a few Rex. They also moved a bunch of figs and Snake Eyes role play sets to the DVD section... no doubt for a DVD special promotion? Or at least make product visible when selling the DVD.

Too bad that retailers got the shaft and over ordered waves that they thought would sell well through the rest of the year. Hasbro NEEDS to provide retailers with a product line that features many male and female characters in interesting costumes and various sizes. Overall a variety of things to choose from is a healthy approach for any toyline to offer the retailer for consumer purchase. Of course a discount on Joe RoC toys was expected but not by this magnitude. Toys being placed by the movie aisle is the first sign of desperation by the retailer to move merchandise that isn't moving well. Next RoC figures will be in the toilet paper aisle to promote crap that needs to be flushed down the toilet.... I saw the new Star Wars comic 2-packs and I was helluva impressed by what is being offered to the average SW consumer. Star Wars has a wide array of colorful interesting characters both male and female of various sizes and different accessories to accomodate them. RoC focuses on twelve main characters that all have dark colors and huge missile launchers that the figure can't hold while standing. Didn't Hasbro think this would turn parents off from buying because of the oversized huge gun that promotes violence to kids? Or how about the nuisense of accidentally vacuuming up RoC small hand guns and knives that can easily be lost or swallowed by young kids. Parents might not go as crazy as expected in buying RoC this Christmas as retailers forsee.

Kohl's came thru once again for me this morning. I purchased a Gunship this morning for $7.99 plus tax. Arguably that's probably all that its really worth. Nevertheless a good deal. I simply took the Kmart circular advertising Alpha class vehicles for $12.99 and had them price match for the Bravo class Gunship. After using a $5 coupon, it came to $7.99. May not have been the most ethical thing to do, but neither is Kohl's practice of charging $34.99 for a Gunship and marking it down to $27.99 on sale, when the MSRP on it is actually $24.99. I've attached a scan of the receipt as proof, since some of you may be speculating whether this really works or not. Personal information on the receipt has been whited out for obvious reasons. I'm not trying to brag or boast by making these posts, i'm simply trying to help other Tankers out, so that you can also benefit by taking advantage of these deals. There is no excuse to make about prices being too high. At least not anymore

Use this technique for City Strike Snake Eyes I will...uhmm.... all figures are currently 20 % off at kohls which is still absurd. Joe figures are $8.79 and I guess if you have an add they will price match it but i haven't received a Target, Walmart or TRU circular in the paper stating a Joe sale in weeks. i was mad someone swiped up the Anakin Skywalker figure I was looking for over the weekend. I was heated to see today that that was the only SW figure that was purchased at that location. Might chalk it up and just wait until December to get CC SE at retail for the fixed price instead of paying almost $10 for one at a retailer with a much smaller toy aisle.
