yeah, i dont consider them the gi joe line of the 80s. i didnt buy anything from that roc line. no emotional attchment at all. it was a good movie. but thats it. i bet all of that stuff will be 50=75% off soon. its the only way to get rid of them off the shelves.

Jeesh, I wish you guys would join with me in these other forums about how great this RoC merchandise is doing. Whenever I vent my frustration about this toyline some arrogant knowitall tries to insult me. The truth is here in Maryland the line was initially successful but came to a sreaching halt after the 2 for $10 and $6.99 prices went away at TRU and Target. What Hasbro and big retailers don't want to do is lower the prices of these toys at particular times when they aren't doing so well in order bring in newer merchandise of the same line. I mean how hard would it be to do a 25%-30% initial markdown on existing RoC merchandise for October-November to get it moving off the shelves again?
The only reason I'm worried because the potentially good stuff for the 2010-??? PoC line will be delayed or potentially in limbo if this stuff doesn't continually sell like it should. Hasbro has been known to pull the plug on a successful toy franchises for unknown reasons with already existing prototypes/merchandise ready for production. I would hate to see that being done to a Joe line for the sixth time (ex. remember Extreme, Sigma, VvV, 25th, Modern Era??), and I wouldn't put it pass them to do so. |

You got that right. If I open a thread and see certain Tankers are in the thick of it I just X right out and move on. It's usually the same 4 or 5 guys bitching and egging others on. I just avoid them like swine flu now. I'm much happier now
