Found some Ult. Dukes at 5B in New Hartford. No Combat Ninjas or CGs.
They had 5 or 6 pegs dedicated to Joes and a wheelbarrow when you walk in with a mix of Joes and Legos. There were a bunch of SEs, SSs, Roadblocks, Flints, CCs, Fireflys, Budos, Kwinns and Data Vipers too. |

Hello, guys!
Anyone here from New York City? I´m going there next saturday, and I like to know the hints on sightings, specially in TRU Times Square. Thanks all! |

Hey, there, I live in NYC.
I avoid Times Square like the plaque and there really are no big box retailers. So not much, mate. Try Mid Town Comics in Times Square (sort of on the outskirts) and you may be able to pick up some stuff. The prices are comic book store prices, however. Other than that, I got nothing for you, mate, sorry. Check out mid - town comics |

I lived in NYC for nine years, but moved away July 2012 so I hope the places I’m going to recommend are still there, lol! If they are, they are pretty legit. That’s where I did most of my Joe shopping (in addition to eBay, of course).
I agree with the above poster – I always tried to avoid midtown, too, ha-ha. The TRU in midtown was always hit or miss, really. When the movie came out they had stuff and before that they had a display, but I was always disappointed as usually their Joes were just on a small rack (the frustration of wading through the crowds wasn’t worth the loot I got). Also agreed – Midtown Comics is good! The one on 7th Ave and 40th St. was okay, but I always had better luck at the one near the South Street Seaport (less picked over and often stocked, great staff, too). That is at 64 Fulton St and Gold Street in downtown Manhattan. It’s on the second floor. Usually they had a big wall of action figures near the back of the store (and one column with some, too), which had a lot of Joes. I was usually able to score one or two figures at Forbidden Planet (832 Broadway – between E. 12th and 13th). It’s a very cool shop, but never a big Joe place. Loved St. Mark’s Comics on St. Mark’s Place (between 3rd and 2nd Ave)! It’s just a cool, but very tiny little shop! They typically had some Joes at the front near the register and then in the back room. Sometimes they also had random figures in the sales bin in the middle of the main part of the store. Anyway, those were my Joe stops when I had a day off to run errands! There is one more toy shop on the Lower Eastside, but I can’t remember the name. Not TOO much Joe stuff, but fun nonetheless. Hope this helps, and have a great trip! |

Not a New York sighting per se but I found Joes on sale at Price Chopper for $5.99 in Bennington, VT. Picked up a Blowtorch. I'd bet NYS Choppers are running the same sale. Go get 'em.

The Bennington store only had the one Blowtorch. I know the capital area stores have been picked clean but I think there might still be some blowtorches & Cobra Commanders hanging around.
