Nice! how many did they have? Did they restock any single carded? I was just there on Wednesday and saw no Eaglehawks and they just had those damn Renegades Cobra Commanders that have been there for like a year and a half!

I grabbed an Eaglehawk at the TRU. Once I got it home I saw that it had dodgy tape. Sure enough, no Lift Ticket, no helmet, no headsets. Oddly, all the other pieces were intact.
This is calculated and silly dickbaggery. I am sure it wasn't one of the two of you who actually frequent this thread. But it is fairly pathetic. If you have to steal a toy you shouldn't be collecting in the first place. There's no rationalization or justification for it. On the other hand, I already had a complete Eaglehawk from BBTS, so I am keeping it, knowing that TRU would just mark it down by a couple of dollars and throw it back on the shelf. And I figure it is less of a loss for me, given that I already have a Lift Ticket and the headsets, than it would be for someone else to get screwed by it. |

gotta say Irid that's cool of you to at least keep it knowing that someone else would get screwed in the long run. i can say for a fact i didn't do that evil deed. i'd never do that kind of thing and im sorry it had to happen to you.

Phew! That is quite lame. When I got back into collecting with the 25th line I never would have imagined what a crazy world the toy collecting and selling community would have been. Scalpers, repackers, thieves, etc... It's ridiculous! It's just freakin' toys! I love this hobby and it has been a great way for my best friend growing up and I to reconnect and become great friends again. He actually was the one that showed me the 25th line as I was totally out of toys since junior high. It's sad some take this so seriously to do these kinds of things. Pay your bills, handle your business and then if you have some desposible income left then by all means buy Joes or whatever tickles your fancy. If you peep my avatar yeah that's Stronox's CC, I can't afford the wonderful customs artists like him make but my friend can so I enjoy them when I'm at his house. Do I want a huge collection of customs like him, of course, but it's not within my means to do so therefore I collect what I can... Stealing toys? Weak...

Either of you guys have any luck finding any Dollar Generals with the repaint wave yet? All I see is multiple cases of wave 1 sans the Cobra Troopers out there. All that needs to be done to trigger them to order the repaints is to clear the pegs but I am not going to buy a bunch of figures I don't want or need to make that happen.

no wave 2 yet and believe me i've tried...bought a few shipwrecks for trades but there's only so many i can buy. i was lucky enough to find a full set and a couple troopers for myself.
and you know 80skid one of the things i love doing is quick easy customs. minor head, hand, or leg swaps and also gear. you'd be suprised how much you can actually create without being one of these amazing customizers. believe me id love to be able to paint more make up webgear and all the other amazing stuff these guys do but ive got alot of figures that look great on my self that are nothing more then head, leg, and gear swaps. i get alot of ideas from geek creek and the LBC threads. just something to think about.

Last time I went in any DGs around Delaware or Cecil County MD was in May (I can hit 'em on my commute, which I don't have to do in June, July, or August). If I'd seen any W2 I would've said so, haven't. I got the W2 figures I wanted (Duke, Shipwreck, SS) from BBTS
