your exactly right and it took me a little while to learn that. I am not a completionist on any line anymore nor will i ever be. if a line is strong enough for me to get the whole thing than thats the only reason i would have a completed line, but that's never gonna happen. but i army build the shit out of 25th cobras, i've always been an army builder when it's come to gi joes

Finally back from that Loooooong trip.
We headed down at 6am this morning. We finally got to our destination at about 10:30 or so. We then had to wait for the guy to show up so he could lead us to his "awesome collection". From the pictures he'd given us, it looked like everything was assembled and organized on shelves. We couldn't be any more wrong. He had everything stashed in a 30ft long storage unit...one that was NOT climate controlled. That's when he proceeded to put Mutt and I to work pulling boxes upon boxes of GI Joe stuff out. Eagerly anticipating the massive haul we'd been promised, we pulled half of the stuff out. At that point we decided to start going through the boxes. That's when the reality set in. Nothing (and I do mean nothing) was assembled. They were in pieces, but scattered among the various boxes. Any Joes still Mint on card were warped, folded, or otherwise climate damaged due to the haphazard piling of cards with miscellaneous vehicle parts and being in a sweltering unit. We spent hours sorting through parts attempting to asseble some vehicles. I just managed to get a Nightraven ALMOST complete. Mutt put together a couple of Terrordromes. We also gathered up a bunch of little parts that we thought might be useful (I wanted some bits for my customs). It was starting to get late (5pm or so), so the guy then had Mutt an I replace and reorganize the boxes. When it came time for pricing, he wanted to charge me $96 for an incomplete Nightraven, an Incomplete AGP, an Incomplete Rage, and several broken/loose parts/accessories I thought I could use for customs. I then proceeded to give everything back save for the Rage and a few parts that I picked up for fellow tankers. Mutt's haul was going to be massive. I think I heard numbers sounding like $600-700 for two Terrordromes and miscellaneous loose figures and parts. Note the TDs are not in anyway mint and it took Mutt a couple of hours to frankenstein the parts from various boxes to make them. Mutt gave up on almost everything save for the two TDs. We finally got home at just after 9pm. So the gist is that it was misleading, disappointing and frelling tiring for the amount we ended up buying. Last edited by Bamphalas; 11-15-2008 at 11:07 PM.. |

Not sure if it's been mentioned but Kohl's in Jacksonville down from Regency has the new comic packs. They were labeled $12.99 but rang up for $8.60 or something. Awesome! No Wave 10 though.

The ones I have are all in unopened packages (less the Vintage) . I have: 1 vintage, 1 25th regular, 2 Target Excl, 1 BP. I always have a stockpile of troops also MOC. I don't open much and what I did have was purchased from me at the Tampa Comic Con. I still have no idea why I bought them for $7 and sold them for $3-$5. haha. My daughter was just asking me this morning "Daddy... where's your Breaker figure?" I said I sold it. "Why'd you go and do something like that? You just have to open another vehicle pack!" HAHA... out of the mouths of babes!

Target. Actually, I happened across someone's secret stash. Once I found it I grabbed it and ran! Nothing left.
