If a meet was planned near the west side, I would definitely make it a point to car pool with Mutt. We can even pick up Swafus along the way.
We've been having our meets in Orlando and it takes me no more than 40 minutes or so to get to that location from Deltona. While I wouldn't make a bi-weekly trip to Tampa, I wouldn't mind heading over there for a meet on occasion.
Heck, I'm willing to trek up to Ocala for the YoJoe meet.
If the trip is too long for some of you, that's fine. Everyone hasn't made it to the Orlando meetups and they're even more centrally located. Just hope one of you would be willing to host one near you so then we can pack up our crap and head over there regardless of the distance.

I think having a east side meet then a west side meet every 6 months or so, isnt a big deal. I wouldnt mind going over to tampa area once a year to meet up, so I dont see why its a big deal to come over this way once a year. It just seems like no matter where the meet is some people will have a reason not to meet. Which is fine by the way, these are def not mandatory. I guess its really just how interested you are in going to them. I myself go to the joe con once a year no matter where its at, because its only once a year, and for a hobby I commit the time I do to its well worth it to make the trip. All the friendships I've made over the 9 years I've been doing joes over the internet have only grown with the ability to meet up with the people I talk to on the net in person. So I think its pretty clear that if someone over on the west side puts a meet together you can count on some of us making it.

Well i for one live all the way over here in Clermont/Minneola and i don't mind driving over to Deltona or to Ocala for that matter if it is for a once and a while joe meet. Like mutt said it is a hobby that many of us devote a lot of time and money to and I think it sounds like a lot of fun and it's to bad if some people choose not to attend which of course is their choice. Sadly i don't have a place to hold a meet over over here but i would also meet in Orlando if one will be held there anytime soon. The idea of carpooling is also very appealing but i think i am the only one over here in these parts though. :(

I would probably be willing to host one in Tampa for November. Perhaps we can have it coincide with the Tampa Comic & Toy Convention.

Orlando-ish peeps... I can fit 4 people comfortably in my car (with our stuff in the big trunk) and it's a Corolla, so it is very economical on gas. Since Mutt and I live less than 5 minutes apart, we would carpool. Third spot is held for Swafus, but the fourth spot is open to just about anyone. I would be more than happy to pick someone up along the way to a Tampa meet.
