Is that what plagues this area? I thought it was just a lot of collectors in the same hunting radius. |

hey Scotty97, sorry to report that I'm still searching for a good job. It's been a real struggle for sure. I've literally applied to well over 250 jobs. Most of time I don't even get a call back. I'm keeping my head up about it though and trying to stay positive. Thanks for asking.

to stay on topic, I hit 3 walgreens around here without any luck. For Kre-O figs,I found the best place to look is a tru express store. Apparently no one looks there. I got my set at one in Citrus Park after dropping my g/f off at Tampa International. |

Well, that would make all three of us then. I've stayed quiet about it, but it's a similar story - Board of Investors teamed with another investment group out of Canada...decided to sell their share to the Canadian team and wa-la, we're closed less than 6 months later.
Florida is indeed horrific. The salaries that they offer down here are a smack in the face. |

Since that last post, I lost my job as well. I had never even taken the line about being unemployed out of my eBay thread yet, but after a year in electronics manufacturing I got downsized... So I feel your pain. I wish you the best of luck man, Florida is horrific. I may be moving to D.C. for better opportunities.

I was in the residential construction industry and we all know what happened to that 6-7 years ago. But now it's bouncing back. Though it is not as busy as it was about 8-10 years ago, there are a lot less people in the field since a lot of construction professionals moved out of state or switched fields. I work as a truss designer and 3 years ago there was zero job opportunities in my field. Now I am getting calls at least 3 times a week from headhunters. I strongly recommend looking in the construction industry.

Unfortunately, I have 0 skill/background in construction and wouldn't want to start out at the bottom floor (although I would of course understand why I would need to). Eh, what can you do. The hunt continues!...but with that said, back on target: That same Walgreens I was referring to (Bird & US-1) stocked up on some stuff I hadn't seen there before - 5 POA Star Wars Figures (those 2 packs), Ninja Turtles and Beyblade. Nothing on the Joe/TF front though. |
