If you're into Chap Mei/ TRU Heroes type stuff. You may want to check out Winn-Dixie. They had the Chinook and some smaller sets. Took a picture of the dive suit. I haven't seen it on retail shelves in years.

Chap Mei in Winn Dixie?! I'm gonna have to take a look!
Also, i caved when TJ Maxx restocked Bruder trucks and bought the flatbed with the backhoe. The backhoe fits modern joes perfectly. I ended up dismantling the Man Truck cab in order to cut the doors (as they are part of the mold and do not open), cut holes on the floor so that that joes may fit comfortably, and painted the dashboard. I gotta come up with some hinges for the doors (i'll probably hit Home Depot tomorrow). There's a picture of a custom made with this somewhere in this site. I'll admit that the scale is a little big, but not bad at all. Rubber tires, and room for a makeshift suspension. And the cab rises for motor access. Also, the flat bed has adjustable stops, so that different vehicles may be accommodated. The Vamp fits perfectly. The Peacekeepers ARH, not so much (tail sticks out). Tamiami Airport TJ Maxx has 25th duke, 25th Destro, and 25th CC down to $3. *Edit* found the pictures of the custom. It is originally yellow: http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...k-truck-2.html |

Almost finished with the Bruder flatbed (needs tough-ups).
Dadeland Target has a lonely IG. The TRU across has squat. A big "hope-you-get-ball-herpes" to whoever stole those two wheels from that Schleich Transport Truck. If after the pics you want the flatbed, it's $60 and TJ Maxx on Sunset w/117th and the Dadeland have one each. |
