Still nothing in Knoxville. Glad I got the 2-packs from TRU online before the price increase. I'm really just wanting the 3-packs from the store as I still semi enjoy hunting.

Well, I just left the Rivergate TRU, they have one each of the new 50th two packs except for the zombie viper pack, (I know, big suprise...) and a least three each of the three packs.

Madison TRU has a lot of Wave 2 & Wave 3 3 Packs. They have a couple Wave 4 Special Forces 3 Packs too. W2 & W3 are ringing up @ $12.98

hello new to the tank but have lived in Nashville area since 2010. Also very new to "collecting" anything but played with Joes as a kid, mostly 82-85 stuff. Wondered if there is any track record of the local area Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc carrying any GI Joe stuff. I know in several years past Ross picked up some random stuff. We have the new Classified and Retro lines, doubt any of them would hit places like Ross anytime soon. Just wondering. Also do any of you in the Middle TN area or TN ever get together in-person or virtually?

Sorry if this is too off topic but Franklin Sam's had 3 different "Soldier Force" vehicle sets this past weekend. One was a submarine, another a battleship, and the 3rd was a large helicopter. All are $29.xx price. It is probably the same Chap Mei stuff as other soldier force but interesting if for nothing more than custom fodder. They did look maybe_ a bit better quality than the Kid Connection stuff WalMart carries, but still I don't think they are GIJ toughness (?). I have just started looking into the "other" Toy category and reading some reviews in other forum threads, etc.

I had a little extra time this afternoon, so I attempted a toy hunt at a couple of Walmart Supercenters in Kentucky and Tennessee, looking to see what the G.I. Joe Retro figures might look like in hand, rather than just photos posted by others.
Oak Grove, Kentucky was a bust. Nobody I talked with at the store had ever heard of such figures or a display. Clarksville, Tennessee was a different story. There are three Walmart Supercenters in the city, and the first one I visited had an empty cardboard display for the figures (they had already sold all 18 figures that were on the pegs). I didn’t even bother to drive to the other two locations, because I had a feeling that I was wasting my time. I’m glad the empty display was there, because it told me that they had previously had the figures at the store, so maybe someday they’ll have the vehicles there too. It’s a shame that some people are removing the displays, because it becomes difficult to know whether or not the store ever had the figures, or where they will be found in the store later if more come back into stock, such as wave 2.
