Yup. Still glad I paid the 7.40 online and got them almost 2 months ago. No wasted time or gas.

I'm not trying to be mean, but people need to realize that picking up figures for other people is a pretty risky thing to do. I've done it before and gotten stuck with an extra figure I didn't need. Also, I try to keep a certain budget to spend on figures, and no offense, I collect a lot of different stuff (about 5/6 different lines) so I don't really have the money to buy extra stuff. So when I do I have to know, 100%, it's going to pass through my hands and I'm not going to get stuck with it. I think that's the case with a lot of people. You shouldn't get upset, but rather realize that people are doing the best they can in most cases to help people find figures they need. No one here is trying to be mean, but no one is a saint either. We do the best we can.
Also, if anyone is looking for a Ren. Tunnel Rat figure I did see one in the collectable figures isle at the Cuyahoga Falls TRU. There are some decent SW pickings out and about though, but no VC Siths. :(

When people have wanted me to pick something up, I usually keep the receipt incase it doesn't fall through. I just return it next time I'm near there. Never stuck with anything.

Trust me there are Tankers that will pick up figures others need. A Tanker in Columbus and I just made such a transaction. Lucky for me he had another reason to venture to my town and I got three Joes. I would do it myself but I really don't come across that many in the wild.

I have helped Tankers out many times. I have also had the issues of Tankers telling me "if you find this figure please pick it up for me." I say cool. Then what do you know when I send them a message, sorry second thought I will pass on the figure.
You shouldn't tell someone to look for a certain item and you will buy it, then when that person buys it you tellthem no longer interested. That's why it's just better to tell them what store the figures are at. |
