Or what if there is only 1 Alley Viper or only 1 Shock Trooper or only 1 gallon of milk in the cooler. Is it my responsibility as a good person to leave that item on the shelf even though I have $$ for it so someone else can buy it?
Survey says.....I don't think so. If I spent my gasoline to drive to a store and I spent my time looking for an item then I have every right to buy it. |

When the Wal-Mart exclusive battle stations came out I bought 6 of them. 2 for me and I mailed the other 4 out to a Tanker in California. I am a less of a man because I bought 6 on the shelf even though I mailed 4 of them to a fellow tanker?

i can understand people's frustration with guys like me. i've only been buying Joes for a few months, these guys probably have been buying them for years.
it just so happens that a highly anticipated figure gets released and maybe a joker like me has had the opportunity to get quite a few of them. it's gotta suck for those fans that have dedicated themselves for so long to get screwed-over by a newcomer like me. the only part of his comment i had a problem with is the accusation of bragging. i feel no joy in preventing others from getting something they truly desire, in fact, i even feel a bit guilty i've been more fortunate than others. it's just a bad situation. if you know me from the TFW board, then you know that i would always hide figures so other collectors could have a shot at them. but that's easy to do with Transformers because all collectors ever want are one of each. Joes are different. the whole idea is that Cobra is an army, so one or two figures of a faceless grunt just won't do. i have a need for many of these guys. sorry if you can't understand that. |

Plus, I do now understand the whole "troop building thing." Once the jungle viper came out, I see why folks need more than one of an awesome nameless trooper. Once waves 3 and 4 hit retail I'll be going after as many Shock troopers and Shadow Trackers I can. I think about 6 each should suffice!

Yeah, man. What's with calling him out like that? It's pretty shitty. So the dude has luck on his hunts. Good for him. Don't be a douche because you can't find what you want. Like, I'm not trying to call you out dude, but that kind of negativity is uncalled for.
Mark, congrats on your finds. Hope the hunts continue to go well.

I see no problem with army building. I have about 60 Bats and I still bought a few of the Hall of Heroe ones at Marshalls the other day. I don't do it just so other people can't have them, I just love a lot of Bats. You can never have enough of them!!! I made a point to stop at every Ross we passed on vacation to find some Cobra Defense Sets for the Alley Vipers and Range Vipers. So I say if you want to build your army go for it!!! My wife doesn't like it too much and thinks its pointless but I see no point of getting on other people for doing it.

The TJ Maxx on Montgomery Rd has tons of Joe goodness. Saw a couple of IG comic packs (pretty sure the IG/Viper packs... I only really noticed the IG figure on the pegs), a 25th BAT, and a couple of silver wraiths. Tons of ROC and 25th figs and vehicles as well as the Monopoly games.

i was out doing some tech-support for my Aunt in Western Hills.
dear god is that TRU bad. i think i saw a Spirit mixed in with the shambles, but other than that, they had jack. Target had loads of Ice Cutters and AWE Strikers, nothing more. TJMaxx had a few comic packs: Beachhead/Mainframe, IG/Viper, Cobra Commander/Leatherneck. they also had, like, three regular Wraiths, and a couple Para-Vipers. they had some BATS but i got them... because i'm not much of a man. ; ) |

I freaking knew that place was going to get the HOH figures a day after I pay them a visit and find jack. You do have some amazing luck my friend. Glad a Tanker was able to grab these up. I'm going to have to hit them tomorrow and see if anyone left a Stormy behind for me to find.
